The Department of Information Systems within the Virginia Commonwealth

associate professor position to support the department's teaching and

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include teaching courses in information
systems at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The applicant
must conduct scholarly research where the output of such research is
published in high-caliber peer-reviewed journals, advise students,
supervise Ph.D. students, and provide service to the department, school,
university, and academic community.
Required Qualifications· An earned doctorate in information systems
or related discipline.
· ABD candidates are expected to successfully defend before the
position’s start date.
· Assistant-rank candidates must demonstrate a robust research
pipeline with top-journal publication potential.
· Associate-rank candidates must demonstrate a well-developed
research portfolio, evidenced by top-journal publications.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience and enthusiasm for mentoring PhD
students
· Teaching and research expertise in (1) data science & artificial
intelligence, (2) cybersecurity, or (3) healthcare informatics.
Ability to teach data analytics and prescriptive analytics classes.
