Dear Colleagues,

As we look forward to AMCIS 2024, here is a friendly reminder of the
upcoming submission deadline for full papers and Emergent Research Forum
(ERF) papers – March 1st, 10 am EST.
More details regarding the call for papers is given below. We look forward
to your submissions and seeing you in Salt Lake City for AMCIS 2024!

We invite the submission of completed research papers, Emergent Research
Forum (ERF) papers, Technology Research, Education, and Opinion (TREO)
talks, Professional Development Symposia (PDS), workshops, and panels to
the 30th Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). To be held
August 15-17, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah, AMCIS 2024 will bring together
academics and industry professionals around the world to exchange knowledge
related to diverse facets of information systems research and practice.

AMCIS 2024 will provide exciting opportunities for participation,
collaboration, and dialogue related to the conference theme "Elevating Life
Through Digital Social Entrepreneurship." With your contributions, we will
present an exciting program that draws upon the best SIG-driven AMCIS
traditions.
We anticipate thought-provoking presentations and stimulating discussions
that exemplify our incredible discipline.

The AMCIS 2024 conference format will be completely in-person. This format
will allow participants to fluidly engage with the research and each other
and will promote deeper involvement and collaboration while managing
conference costs. Recognizing the value of accessibility and inclusivity,
we are committed to broadening participation beyond the physical event. To
this end, key conference content will be recorded and made freely available
online to AIS members following the conference. Virtual access to
conference content will be available to all AIS members via:
* Recordings of conference keynotes and panels
* Pre-recorded author videos for each paper in the AIS eLibrary, where
viewers can post comments and engage with authors
This approach not only extends access to those who cannot attend in person
but also serves as a lasting resource for all AIS members, enhancing the
impact and reach of the valuable insights shared at AMCIS 2024.
Scholarships to help support in-person attendance will be available on a
limited basis.

There are numerous benefits to authors leveraging the conference to journal
submission cycle for papers. Find out more at

*** SUBMISSION TYPES ***
--- Full papers ---
Full papers must describe completed research. Completed research papers
will be submitted to a conference mini track where they will be
peer-reviewed using a double-blind system and presented in a traditional
conference session format. Each session will consist of three or four
papers that have been accepted through the review process. Sessions employ
a standard format of presentation by an author and general audience
discussion. Full papers must not exceed 10 pages (approx. 5,000 words) and
must conform to the AMCIS 2024 submission template. Full papers that are
accepted will be published in their entirety in the conference proceedings.
The call for papers and template to be used are available here:
https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/

--- Emergent Research Forum (ERF) ---
Emergent Research Forum (ERF) papers are research in progress. Like
completed research, ERF papers will be submitted to a mini track for double
blind review. Upon acceptance, ERF papers will be presented by authors
while interested participants gather to share ideas and discuss topics of
mutual interest. ERF papers must not exceed 5 pages (approx. 2,500 words)
and must conform to the AMCIS 2024 submission template. Authors of accepted
ERF papers may submit an abstract for publication in the proceedings OR a
revised paper. The call for papers and template to be used are available
here: https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/

--- Technology Research, Education, and Opinion (TREO) ---
Technology Research, Education, and Opinion (TREO) Talk sessions will
provide attendees a platform to informally present their research ideas,
education papers, or opinion papers that cover any area of information
systems (IS) or information technology (IT) and get feedback from session
attendees. The TREO Talk sessions will provide the opportunity to submit a
1-page abstract of a research paper or research idea, an education paper or
an idea related to IS education, or an opinion piece on any area of IT.
TREO Talk submissions will be editorially reviewed to ensure that they are
IS related and appropriate in nature. Accepted TREO Talk abstracts will be
presented at a TREO Talk session. Each TREO Talk author will present their
topic, followed by a question and answer and discussion session with the
audience. The call for proposals and template to be used are available here:
 https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/

--- Professional Development Symposia (PDS)
Professional Development Symposia (PDS) offer the opportunity for creative,
multi- way conversations, and have the potential to offer a positive impact
on the professional development of participants from different regions,
SIGs, chapters, career stages, or backgrounds. Proposals can be quite brief
but should provide an outline sufficient for the reviewers to be able to
make a recommendation on its applicability, likelihood of drawing an
audience, and suitability for the conference. Some indication of likely
presenters would be helpful. The call for proposals and template to be used
are available here:
https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/

--- Workshops ---
Workshops are typically partial- or full-day sessions that facilitate
discussion and exploration of ideas, techniques, and methodologies that
advance research, teaching knowledge of IS-related concepts, or products
from industry and their application to academia, educational curricula, or
industry practice. The call for proposals and template to be used are
available here:
https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/

--- Panels ---
Panels provide an opportunity for a group of researchers to explore a topic
or focus of interest in a panel format, typically involving a panel
moderator (who poses several questions related to the topic) and three to
four expert contributors with alternative views or perspectives on the
topic. Depending upon the topic, the experts can be drawn from the academy
and/or from industry. Of particular interest are panel submissions that are
related to the conference theme, although panel proposals on other relevant
topics are also welcome. The panel co-chairs are willing to work with panel
submitters to help them develop provocative ideas into strong proposals.
The call for proposals and template to be used are available here:
https://amcis2024.aisconferences.org/submissions/types-of-submissions/
