Inaugural PhD Consortium, May 2024: Call for Participation
Advances in Business Doctoral Education Conference May 3-4, 2024

The Ph.D. program of the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University (KSU) is proud to announce its inaugural PhD Consortium scheduled for Friday, May 3 2024. The consortium provides an opportunity for Ph.D. students to discuss their research proposal or manuscript at an early stage with seasoned researchers who are experts in their field. We invite PhD students who have satisfactorily completed their qualifying/comprehensive exams to submit their research papers or proposals in Information Systems, broadly defined to include topics in behavioral IS, Health Care, fintech, Artificial Intelligence, Emotional IS, etc. Any research method, including empirical archival, survey, experiments, design science and interviews (qualitative) or field studies are welcome.

To provide high-quality feedback, up to six PhD students will be invited to present at the consortium. The invitation will be based on the quality of the submission. There is no submission or registration fee.

Up to $1,000 travel grant may be considered for students invited to participate.

Interested Ph.D. students should email their proposal, paper, or an extended abstract of 500 words as a Word file by March 31, 2024 to Reza Vaezi at reza.vaezi at kennesaw.edu<mailto:reza.vaezi at kennesaw.edu>

Acceptance to participate will be sent out no later than April 10, 2024.

Participants accepted for the PhD Consortium must register for the Coles Ph.D. in Advances in Business Doctoral Education Conference, for which there is no registration fee. Additional details and registration are available on our website: Conference on Advances in Business Doctoral Education - Coles College of Business (kennesaw.edu)<https://www.kennesaw.edu/coles/events/doctoral-education/index.php>

The research by the faculty of the Information Systems and Security (ISS) department at KSU is diverse, includes both behavioral and organizational sides of the IS, and is conducted across a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods. ISS faculty and Ph.D. alumni have published in high-quality journals such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, and Journal of Service Research, to name a few. ISS faculty currently serve or have served as editors and editorial board members of several high-quality journals.
