*Dear Friends and Colleagues*
Are you interested in sharing and discussing your research on integrating
and creating synergy between disciplines of information technology,
information systems, and social sciences, i.e., economics, management,
business, finance, and education? If yes, then please consider submitting
our *Topical Area 4: Information Technology for Business and Society
(ITBS)* .
*ITBS* is a FedCSIS conference area aiming at integrating and creating
synergy between disciplines of information technology, information systems,
and social sciences. The track addresses the issues relevant to information
technology and necessary for the practical, everyday needs of businesses,
other organizations, and society at large. This track takes a
socio-technical view of information systems and, at the same time, relates
to ethical, social, and political issues raised by information systems.
*ITBS* provides a forum for academics and professionals to share the latest
developments and advances in the knowledge and practice of these fields. It
seeks new studies in many disciplines to foster a growing body of
conceptual, theoretical, experimental and applied research that could
inform design, deployment, and usage choices for information systems and
technology within business and public organizations as well as households.
*Extended versions of high-marked papers presented at ITBS* 2015-2023 *have
been published with Springer in volumes of Lecture Notes in Business

*Professor Zdzisław Pawlak Awards:*
Professor Zdzisław Pawlak (1926–2006) has been regarded as one of the
fathers of Computer Science in Poland. His theory of Rough Sets has been
one of the most recognizable contributions made by a scientist in Poland to
the area of Artificial Intelligence worldwide. In his research, Professor
Pawlak has always emphasized the need for cross-disciplinary,
cross-country, and cross-generation cooperation. In Computer Science, there
may emerge a brilliant idea in someone’s head, but it requires
collaborators to make it grow dynamically and then – a number of subject
matter experts, from various fields, to develop its practical applications.
The following *categories of awards* are eligible for all papers submitted
