adoption, usage and diffusion studies areprevalent in Information
Systems (IS) research and offer an insight into manyissues surrounding
‘how’, ‘when’ and ‘what’ technologies are being introducedand their
impacts. By undertaking such research academics, industry andgovernment
agencies will learn from each other how ICTs are being used byvarious
groups and communities in society and what measures are beingundertaken
to have households and the various social communities adopt and usethe
ICTs with a further consideration of the impacts of the ICTs. Case

applied studies relatedto ICT use, adoption, impacts and diffusion are
emerging on a daily basis.
