[AISWorld] Call for Papers: Special Issue on “Cybersecurity and Threat Hunting: Proactive Approaches Using Machine Learning and AI” in Information Systems Frontiers

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a call for papers for a special issue on “Cybersecurity and Threat Hunting: Proactive Approaches Using Machine Learning and AI” in Information Systems Frontiers<https://resource-cms.springernature.com/springer-cms/rest/v1/content/26852896/data/v1>. This special issue aims to provide insights into proactive approaches to cybersecurity by developing a theoretical understanding of technical as well as behavioral issues related to and insights from practical approaches used in industry without excluding any methodological approaches. We welcome conceptual, theoretical, empirical, experimental, methodological, and practice-based papers that enrich our understanding of current uses of ML and AI in cybersecurity as well as in threat hunting. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  *   Ethical Hacking
  *   Automated Intelligence
  *   Zero Trust Approaches
  *   Proactive Versus Reactive in Endpoint Monitoring
  *   Indicators of Compromise
  *   Insider threats and cybersecurity policies
  *   Proactive System Behavior Analysis
  *   Threat Hunting
  *   Modeling Threats
  *   Proactive Approaches to Ransomware
  *   Game Theoretic Modeling of Cyberattacks
  *   Cyber Attack Mitigation
  *   Cyber Threat Intelligence
  *   Digital Forensics
  *   Privacy Preserving Artificial Intelligence
  *   Explainable Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity
  *   Evaluation metrics relevant to Cybersecurity
  *   Adoption and Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Cybersecurity

Submissions:
All submissions will go through a comprehensive peer review process; and each submission will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. The final acceptance or rejection decision will be made in no more than two rounds of review. Submissions must be written in proof-read English and submitted in PDF format via the Editorial Manager of the journal:  https://www.editorialmanager.com/isfi/default.aspx
To ensure that the manuscripts are correctly submitted to this special issue, authors must select "EmergingTech" as the "Article Type". Authors should aim at papers of approximately 25 to 30 pages (in the submission format, 11 Font, 1.5 line spacing, including abstract, figures, tables, references and appendix), following the submission guidelines from the journal: https://www.springer.com/journal/10796/submission-guidelines
Important Dates:

  *   Submission deadline: 30th June 2024
  *   Notification of first round reviews: 30th Nov. 2024
  *   Revised manuscript due: 31st Jan 2025
  *   Notification of second round reviews: 10th March 2025

  *   Tentative publication date: 1st May 2025
