SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) and the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence invite applications for a position at Assistant Professor rank, in Artificial Intelligence for Management, to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects to publish in the field's highest-quality journals.
The hired candidate will be part of the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) which is a Research Center dedicated to exploring how AI Systems interact and collaborate with people to enhance human abilities and empower both individuals and society creating sustainable value at four different levels:
- Business value: how AI becomes part of the products themselves, improves performance across the value chain, or enables ecosystems and collaboration with new markets.
- Ethical value: how to foster explicability and responsible AI to guarantee social fairness in respect of human freedoms and dignity.
- Societal value: how AI contributes to environmental sustainability, encourages a new social contract based on accountability.
- Algorithmic value: developing AI techniques and algorithms with increasingly superior performance while attending to the explainability of such techniques to assure that the other kinds of value can be enabled.

Through this Research Centre, we want to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on a broad range of business and management subjects (ranging from finance, marketing, strategy, to innovation and entrepreneurship) and cover a multitude of different sectors (such as education, energy, health care, public administration, banks, insurance, retail, tourism, and luxury) offering guidance to organizations on how to best use AI for sustainable value creation.
The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required and is not a criterion for selection. SKEMA Business School offers support in learning French.


Qualifications must include:
- Hold or about to complete a Ph.D. in Management or a related field (with orientation in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Robotics) or a related area.
- Have a strong research orientation and track record, as demonstrated by a publication track record in highly regarded management journals on the CABS-FNEGE-FT50 lists or show potential.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellence in quantitative methods.
- Strong interest in investing in the research focus on Artificial Intelligence in Management.
- Commitment to service and/or outreach activities.

 
Expectations :
- Publish peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.
- Teach courses in the area of management, with a focus in strategy, organizational behavior, and human resources management.
- Supervise master students.
- Show academic citizenship, commit to the life of the institution, and contribute to the projects related to the school's strategy.

ABOUT RESEARCH
The candidate will be a member of the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI). The research center comprises about 20 faculty members and 4 PhD students from the internal PhD program management. The research center adopts an interdisciplinary perspective based on the collaboration between social scientists, AI researchers, and engineers to develop the know-how to explore business opportunities driven by AI.
We organize regular research seminars and host international workshops. Our members have presented their work at academic and professional conferences and international institutions. Their work has led to publications in top-ranked journals
