The research will be conducted with the Cybersecurity Research Lab

*Area of Research and Responsibilities:* The candidate will be responsible
for conducting original research on a project related to the management of
cybersecurity in transition to remote work. The project has been
funded by Social
Sciences and Humanities Research Council

Example topics include but are not limited to:
- Human and organizational aspects of cybersecurity management
- Governance of cybersecurity management
- Cybersecurity management for remote work
*The responsibilities include but not limited to:*
- Conducting literature review on cybersecurity management for remote
work
- Analyzing qualitative data with NVivo
- Developing a theoretical framework based on the results of the data
analysis
- Developing a survey instrument based on the theoretical framework
- Writing manuscripts for conferences and peer-reviewed journals
*Qualifications and Requisite Skills: *The candidate should have a Ph.D. in
Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Management, or any other
related field of social sciences with a background or interest in
cybersecurity and information privacy. Strong prior research records in
cybersecurity and privacy management are desired.
- Advance knowledge in qualitative research methods and grounded theory
development
- Experience in quantitative research methods (e.g., contextual inquiry
and empirical analysis)
- Background in the domain of cybersecurity and information privacy
- Advanced critical thinking skills and ability to organize an extant
literature
- High level self-motivation and strong work ethics

Compensation includes a competitive salary with additional funds for travel
support. The successful applicant will be supported *for a minimum of 1 and
a maximum of 2 years *(contingent on performance and funding availability).
*Anticipated Start Date:* The anticipated start date is September 2024. The
position will be for 12-months, while renewable for additional years with
budget and performance allowing.
