The Department of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track position. Rank is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Department has a strong record of research and teaching accomplishments and expects faculty to be active in the academic community. The anticipated start date is August 2025. Salary will be competitive based upon credentials and experience. Applicant must have (or expect to receive by the start of employment) a doctoral degree in Information Systems or a related field and demonstrated potential to publish in premier and high-quality scholarly journals.
For those applying as Assistant Professor, preference will be given to candidates with:

  1.  Articles accepted/published in premier and high-quality information systems journals;
  2.  Evidence of an active research pipeline;
  3.  Evidence of teaching effectiveness; and
  4.  Interest to teach courses in cybersecurity, analytics, machine learning, and AI.
For those applying as Associate Professor, preference will be given to candidates with:

  1.  A record of publications in high-quality and premier information systems journals commensurate with academic experience;
  2.  Evidence of an active research pipeline;
  3.  Evidence of teaching effectiveness;
  4.  Experience teaching courses in contemporary/emerging IS areas such as cybersecurity, analytics, machine learning, and AI; and
  5.  A record of impactful contributions to the discipline and/or their university through leadership roles.
