Overview:
The School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites applications for one visiting position as Assistant Professor of Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) with an expected start date of Spring 2025. This is for one semester. Priority will be given to applicants with backgrounds in Business Analytics.
BAIS faculty are expected to teach in both traditional classroom and online modalities, and to incorporate innovative pedagogical approaches into their teaching. You will be involved in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer/impact in the field of BAIS, broadly defined. The faculty of the BAIS Department have diverse research interests, covering a wide range of topics including Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Healthcare Analytics, Future of Work, Cybersecurity, and IS Curriculum.
Responsibilities:


  *   Teach high quality, innovative, and experientially oriented courses both on ground and online in Business Analytics, specifically introduction to Business Analytics (intro to statistics).
  *   Prepare and deliver engaging course content and classroom activities.  Compile, administer, and grade assignments/ examinations in a timely fashion.
  *   Teaching is the primary duty of visiting faculty (4 courses will be taught each semester)
Educational Requirements:
A PhD or DBA in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited Business School or a research-oriented program. Candidates who are ABD with potential for high-quality teaching and a clear deadline for completion are encouraged to apply.

  *   Scholarly activity to meet Quinnipiac School of Business-AACSB Scholarly Academic.
  *   Ability to effectively teach in the area of Business Analytics.
  *   Previous teaching and professional experience in the information technology field is preferred.
  *   Demonstrated excellence of teaching effectiveness in classroom environments for undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
  *   Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  *   Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  *   Commitment to a supportive and collegial work environment.

About the BAIS Department:
The BAIS department offers three undergraduate B.S. degrees in Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, and a dual degree in CIS/Accounting. In addition, the department offers an M.S. in Business Analytics. The department also supports graduate courses in the MBA and Professional MBA programs and has a strong focus on applied learning for its approximately 190 undergraduate BAIS majors. There are two student organizations within the BAIS Department, the BAIS Society and the Blockchain at QU. The mission of the BAIS Department is to: 1) build students' core competencies in the areas of business analytics and computer information systems through engaged learning and real-world applications; 2) prepare students for successful careers; and 3) empower students to find ways to use their knowledge, skills and abilities to positively contribute to their organizations and communities.
