Missouri State University’s Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, housed in the College of Business, invites applications for one open tenure-track position ranked at Assistant Professor, beginning August 11th, 2025.

Required Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field (ABDs with anticipated completion by August 2024 may be considered).Evidence of the potential for high quality research as well as evidence of high-quality teaching in one or more of the following areas is also required—Cybersecurity, System Hardening, Integration, Application Security, Quality Assurance, Cloud Computing, and other IT and/or cybersecurity-related topics. Finally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working in diverse environments and/or with students from diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-quality teaching and research in one or more of the following areas Cybersecurity, System Hardening, Integration, Application Security, Quality Assurance, Cloud Computing, and other IT and/or cybersecurity-related topics. Teaching may include graduate and undergraduate courses, in both online and face-to-face settings.  The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in service to the Department, College, and University.
