The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) Business School is looking to hire a highly motivated Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, who is keen to make a significant impact and to develop their career in teaching, research and service. We are particularly interested in applicants who would contribute to our teaching and research with expertise within at least two (ideally more) of following fields:
Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain and/or Project Management
We embrace practice-led and research-informed approaches to teaching, where the student experience is optimised. You'll teach courses as assigned by the Head of Department and be expected to publish actively in your specialised field/s, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research. We offer an excellent research environment with contestable research funds, and with guidance available from senior scholars. It is also expected that over time the successful candidate will seek and attract external research funding, and contribute to School/Faculty activities.
What we offer
The appointee will secure a permanent, full-time academic appointment (37.5 hours per week) as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. About you
We welcome applications from suitably qualified applicants who have:
Qualification:
A PhD in any of these fields: Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain and/or Project Management, or a related field
Teaching and Learning:
An early career academic will ideally have at least some previous teaching assistant experience.
More experienced candidates will have previous tertiary lecturing experience, experience with curriculum development, programme management and also preferably experience supervising Masters and/or PhD students.
Research and Scholarship:
Research interests should be in at least two or more of the following fields: Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain and/or Project Management.
An early career academic will have the basis of a solid research pipeline.
More experienced candidates will already have a proven research track record with quality publications and ideally also success in external funding bids.
You will also have an open, engaging and collaborative attitude that is flexible to changing requirements. You will enhance the positive energy and collegiality within the School, must embrace and value diversity and enjoy working inclusively with students and colleagues.
