AMCIS Track: Digital Sourcing, Platforms, and Ecosystems
Sponsoring SIG: SIG Sourcing
Track Chairs: Maximilian Schreieck, Andreas Hein, Julia Kotlarsky
For the Track Digital Sourcing, Platforms, and Ecosystems, we invite the submission of Mini-Track proposals.
Track description
Digital platforms and emerging technologies are reshaping traditional sourcing. To capture the dynamics and interactions of sourcing and platform phenomena, the Track Digital Sourcing, Platforms, and Ecosystems highlights research that investigates topics relating to digital sourcing, platforms, and ecosystems. These topics include but are not limited to (1) digital sourcing issues, such as sourcing decisions and outcomes, organizing and governing sourcing relationships, collaboration, innovation, and knowledge management processes in sourcing relationships, and various sourcing configurations and models, and (2) digital platform ecosystems issues, including motivation to partner, governance of platform ecosystems and partnerships, co-innovation and development processes, and outcomes. We welcome studies that examine these topics from multiple perspectives, including client and supplier firms, platform vendors, complementors, and individual actors. All methods and levels of analysis, including individual-, firm-, inter-organizational, and ecosystem-level, are welcome.
Potential topics for Mini-Tracks

* Emerging technologies in sourcing, platforms, and ecosystems
* Crowdsourcing
