Dear Colleagues,
SIGDSA invites minitruck proposals to the "Data Science, Analytics, and AI for a Better Future" (SIGDSA) track for AMCIS 2025, which will be held on August 14-16, 2025, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The track 'Data Science, Analytics, and AI for a Better Future' by SIGDSA seeks original research that promotes technical, theoretical, design science, pedagogical, and behavioral research, as well as emerging applications in analytics, big data, and intelligent technologies for a better future, including AI and generative AI. We have mini tracks considering innovative research on all aspects of data science, big data, and data analytics, ranging from theoretical foundations to novel AI and large language models for data science problems in business, sports, manufacturing, healthcare, cybersecurity, and other fields. A few suggested topics are listed below, though they are by no means comprehensive.
1. The Impact of Generative AI, LLM on Decision Making and Creative Work
2. Emergence of novel Generative AI applications, in academia and industry
3. Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Operations, Healthcare, Sports, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain, and beyond.
4. Ethical, Responsible, Explainable and Social issues, Bias and Digital Equity in Data-Driven Decision-Making in AI
5. Decision Support for Business and Social Entrepreneurship
6. Computational Social Science Research through Analytics
7. Social Media and Network Analytics
8. Design Science/Behavioral Research in Data Science and Analytics
9. Digital Sustainability, Smart Cities, Societal Transformation and Social Good
10. Data Analytics for Transforming Organizations and Platforms (DATOP)
11. Geospatial Trends and Innovation in Data and AI
12. Dark side of Analytics and AI: Misinformation, Disinformation, Fake News
13. The Role of Machine Learning in Transforming Business Operations
14. Predictive Analytics in Strategic Planning
15. Data Privacy and Security in the Age of AI and Analytics
16. Sensor Analytics, IoT, and Time-series Analysis
17. Mobile applications with AI, Analytics, and Decision Support
18. Designing work environment in the Age of AI and Analytics

Mini track chairs will be responsible for a) promoting their minitruck to generate manuscript submissions to AMCIS 2025; b) soliciting and assigning reviewers for manuscripts submitted to the mini track; and c) making recommendations to track chairs about each manuscript submitted to the mini track. To submit a mini track proposal via PCS, you will need to include the following information: a) mini track chairs (names, emails, affiliation); b) mini track title; c) short description of mini track for the AMCIS 2025 website (up to 150 words); d) a call for papers for your mini track.
