The Department of Information Systems and Analytics in the Parker College of Business invites applications and nominations for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor in Information
Systems and Analytics. 
 
The Department is a member of the SAP University Alliances and has a strong reputation for being a lead institution in Enterprise Systems curriculum. It also has emphases in Business Intelligence, Enterprise Security and Project Management. The Department offers a BBA in Information Systems and Analytics. The faculty members of the Department also participate in offering courses in the MBA and WebMBA programs in the College.
 
Required Qualifications
• A PhD, or DBA, in Information Systems or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate
semester hours in Information Systems, from an AACSB accredited school is required by
August 1, 2025.
• Evidence of the ability to develop and implement a research agenda and publish in high-
quality IS or closely related discipline journals.
• Evidence of the potential for above-average teaching ability.
• Evidence of effective communication skills.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy,
mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship
agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Interest in ongoing professional development within the discipline.
• Evidence of quality teaching and research excellence including grant activities.
• Teaching and research interest in the following areas:
o Enterprise systems, including ERP/SAP
o Business analytics and business intelligence
o Machine learning and artificial intelligence (Python.py and TensorFlow)
o Programming (Python, Java, R, ABAP, etc.)
o Enterprise infrastructure and security
o Enterprise systems analysis and design
o Database management (SQL)
o Project management (Traditional/Agile/Analytics)
 
We are especially interested in those with research and teaching interests in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning applications and who are able to contribute to our R1 university goals.
