** Assistant Professor position at HEC Montreal - upcoming application deadline reminder **

Dear colleagues,

Following up on the official announcement sent via this IS World list on Sept. 19, I am following up with a personal message and reminder of the upcoming application deadline. Applications will be considered if received prior to Nov. 1, and the official job announcement is available on: https://tre.tbe.taleo.net/tre01/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=NYQEDG&cws=43&rid=1034.

Thank you for forwarding this announcement to anyone you think may be interested in applying.
Moreover, as a non-French speaker prior to joining HEC Montreal, I can attest to the extensive (and free) language training provided by the institution to its faculty enabling the acquisition of working knowledge in French within a two-year period.

As a reminder, our Department of Information Technology (IT) at HEC Montreal (http://www.hec.ca<http://www.hec.ca/>) is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Information Technology, although outstanding candidates may be considered at higher ranks.

I would be remiss not to point out the highly research active nature of our department, which comprises 19 tenure-system faculty, among whom four hold research chairs:

Substantial support will be provided by HEC Montreal to help achieve this objective, in an environment conducive to improving French language skills.
