The inaugural Academic Research and Professional Practice in Interaction Design (ARPPID 2025) working conference invites participation from researchers and practitioners for an engaging forum on advancing interaction design through cross-sector collaboration. The conference will be hosted at the University of West London, July 10-11, 2025, with in-person and hybrid attendance options.
ARPPID 2025 builds upon the emerging discussions raised during academic and professional conferences in the field (UXPA, CHI, INTERACT), highlighting the need for cooperation, challenges, needs, and best practices across academia and industry. By expanding on these themes, ARPPID looks at boosting the dialogue among practitioners and reducing the gap between the academia and industry, to advance the field of interaction design via new practices.
We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics related to interaction design, user experience, and human-computer interaction, with a particular focus on bridging the gap between academic research and industry practice.
