The Department of Information, Operations and Management Sciences - Information Systems (IS) Division at TBS Education is seeking to fill in one faculty position in the field of Information Systems, to maintain and develop its reputation for excellence in research and high-quality teaching. The position will be based in Barcelona. The division of Information Systems brings together 14 faculty members whose recent publications include articles in IS leading journals such as Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, Decision Support Systems. Candidates should hold a PhD in Information Systems (or related fields such as Computing Science, Data Science, Analytics, etc.) and should possess excellent teaching abilities, as well as the potential to publish in leading academic journals (AJG or FNEGE ranked). They may have demonstrated these qualities during their post-doctoral experience or during their previous employment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in English, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop lectures in their field of expertise at the graduate and the executive education levels. Candidates with knowledge in programming and data analytics are highly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have defended their PhD in the past five years, have a successful first experience in academia or programming and data analytics, and have a good command of the Spanish language. Knowledge of Barcelona's socio-economic environment and the local corporate network would be a plus.
