UML is committed to educating students for lifelong success in a diverse world and conducting research and outreach activities that sustain the economic, environmental, and social health of the region. UML offers nearly 12,000 students more than 120 degree programs. The University is located about 30 miles northwest of Boston in the City of Lowell, a city steeped in U.S. industrial history with an ethnically diverse population of over 100,000. <br><br>The OIS Department, which is basically a combination of Information Systems and Operations group, is building faculty capacity at all levels to deepen its research productivity and build program offerings at the Master's and Bachelor's levels. The Manning School of Business (MSB) is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International). MSB has over 2000 undergraduate and MBA students and starting a new PhD program in Business Administration from 2013. Classes are taught in both traditional classroom settings and online. <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><o:p> </o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>The OIS Department invites applications for a full-time Lecturer, non-tenure-track, position in the field of Operations and Information Systems starting in 2012. The primary fields of specialization should be some combination of MIS, operations analysis, operations management, and other related areas. The Lecturer position is annually renewable, potentially leading to an appointment as a Senior Lecturer.
