[IRIS] International PhD course on Theories of Information Systems in Norway September 2022

The University of Oslo (UiO) and the University of Agder (UiA) jointly offers a 3-week intensive course on Theories of Information Systems. The course is open for national and international PhD-candidates.

The course has its foundation in contemporary theories of Information Systems research, and focuses on the relationship between key theoretical approaches and research methodology, ontology, and epistemology; the appropriateness and usability of these approaches; the relationship and impact of Information System theories in relation to the topics of the candidates; comparing, appraising and critiquing theoretical/conceptual frameworks and the relationship between information technology (IT) and organization; and the various traditions of information systems research.

Participants must arrange their own travel and accommodation. The course is approved as a 10 ECTS at UiO. There are no tuition fees. The maximum number of students is 40. The teaching will
be a combination of lectures and seminars.
