*Introduction*

There is a growing trend towards using the case method (participant-centered
learning technique) as an effective teaching tool. While most case studies
available are on international companies, it is rare to find relevant cases
on the Middle East and North Africa region that would help students
understand the link between academic study and practical applications.
El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center (KCC) would like to invite
case writers to submit mini-case studies for publication. The mini-cases
should focus on local and regional companies as well as multinational
companies operating in the MENA region.

*Objective*

Produce mini- case studies that would be used in undergraduate classes,
training & executive education, and at the end of chapter of textbooks

 *Target Audience*

Professionals, researchers, professors and case writers interested in
writing case studies about different management areas in the MENA region

 *Recommended Management Areas*

Marketing

Human Resources

Finance

Management

Management of Information Systems

Accounting

Economics

Operations Management



*Submission Procedure*

You are invited to submit a complete mini-case with teaching notes *on or
before July 15, 2010*. The mini-case should include a cover page with the
name, affiliations, and contacts of the authors (names should not appear in
the following pages), as well as a page covering the company name, the focus
of the case, the mission of the case idea including the management area(s)
covered. Cases will be subject to a blind peer review process by regional
and international business editors.



*Publisher *

El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center (KCC) is an established case
clearinghouse at the American University in Cairo (AUC). The center provides
world-class business case studies and other educational services that would
offer students outstanding learning tools. The cases are focused on the
Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to link academic theories and
research to practical applications relevant to students residing, studying,
or interested in the MENA region. Alongside the case studies, KCC offers
seminars to train faculty in developing business cases, writing proposals,
and using cases in the classroom, as well as workshops for students to help
them analyze those cases.



*Guidelines*

*Focus:* The Mini-Cases should focus on companies operating in the MENA
region

*Format:* Mini-Cases should be submitted in a Word Document

*Length:* 2 to 3 single spaced pages

*Forms:* Mandatory forms to be filled and signed. To download, please visit
