The University of Michigan – Dearborn (UM-D) is one of the three campuses of the University of Michigan.  UM-D is a comprehensive university offering high quality undergraduate, graduate, professional, and continuing education to residents of southeastern Michigan and attracts more than 8,500 students.  The campus is strategically located on 200 suburban acres of the original Henry Ford Estate in the Greater Detroit Metropolitan region.

The College of Business (COB) is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position.  This position is responsible for teaching 9 credit hours per term in Information Systems, particularly Project Management.  Additional course coverage is dependent upon qualifications and discipline needs. This position is for the 2010-2011 academic year, summer 2011 teaching is possible but not guaranteed, and has the possibility to convert to a tenure-track line subject to departmental needs and candidate performance.

Minimum requirements: A Ph.D. degree (or ABD with admission to doctoral candidacy in the last two years) in a business or engineering discipline with coursework related to project management and sufficiency of qualifications and/or accomplishments to meet COB accreditation minimums. The ideal candidate will have university or corporate teaching experience and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
