Dear Colleagues:

Please join us for the 3rd Annual SIG GlobDev Workshop on Sunday, December
12 in St Louis. 

DESCRIPTION
Following our very successful workshops in Paris and Phoenix, the 3nd SIG
GlobDev Annual Workshop will again provide a forum for discussion of
practical experience and research related to the diffusion and use of
information and communication technologies (ICT) in developing regions of
the world.

KEYNOTE TALK

"Uhurunet: Delivering high capacity bandwidth to Africa's businesses,
schools, communities, civil society, and governments."

The keynote speaker is Victor Lawrence, Stevens Institute of Technology and
Chairman of Baharicom Holding Co. Ltd. Dr. Lawrence is a member of the
National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of both the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and AT&T Bell Labs. He is is a
proponent of R&D globalization and is championing the effort to bring fiber
optic connectivity to Africa.
