IÉSEG School of Management at the Catholic University of Lille invites
applications for full-time positions (starting September 2011) for its
Management Department. Two positions are open at the Assistant or Associate
Professor Level in Management Information Systems, (1 mainly at Paris
campus, 1 mainly at Lille campus).

About the vacancies:

As a result of growth we are now looking to appoint two lecturers in
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS. Appointments may be made at either Assistant
or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will possess strong
teaching skills and a commitment to research excellence. He/she will conduct
research and provide research supervision, teach at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels and also contribute to the design and development of the
Department’s programs.

Applicants for both positions must have completed or be near to completing a
PhD from a research intensive university. In addition applicants for the
position of Associate Professor must be able to provide evidence of
publications in reputable academic journals.  Candidates for both positions
must be able to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  The
successful candidate will have proven skills in teaching basic and advanced
information systems courses.  The school offers in excess of 240 specialized
electives offered by visiting and permanent faculty.  Hence, a flexible
approach to lecturing is desired.  Candidates shall prepare and deliver
elective modules that focus on their research interests.  Ideal candidates
are likely to facilitate seminars and run modules in subjects such as
Introduction to IS, IS project management, Visual Basic for Applications, or
the role of IS in Corporate Social Responsibility.   

Applicants should be completely fluent in English. Prior knowledge of French
is not required as the School will provide French courses to faculty
members.

 

About salary and working conditions: 

The salary is competitive. An attractive research incentive scheme is in
operation. Assistance in locating housing will be provided. Employees are

and contributory pension scheme; these are amongst the best in the world.
