Track: Design Science

Mini-track: Analysis and Design of Service Systems

DESCRIPTION

Service technologies and systems have become an important area of business
applications of information technology as on-line services are now
commonplace under the notation of electronic commerce. The increasingly
prominent roles played by technology in the service encounters between firms
and customers also called for new service models in the management of
customer life-time values. Technology enabled co-creation of values also
create many opportunities in the business world. However, research is still
scant in service-related technologies and systems. This mini-track offers a
new forum for exchanging innovative thinking and new research articles in,
but not limited to, the following topics:

*	Formal analysis and design of service systems
*	Integration of human- and computer-driven services
*	Mathematical foundations of service modeling
*	Metrics and performance analysis of services systems
*	Models of event-driven and real-time service systems
*	Economic analysis of service strategies and operations
*	Optimal co-design of service provision and service recovery
*	Service channels allocation under different customer segments
*	Service coordination in inter-organizational service systems
*	Pricing issues under different service models
*	Modeling of customer-service systems
*	Customer behaviors under technology-mediated service encounters
*	Models of inter-organizational service systems
*	Real-time negotiation in service systems
*	Characteristics of e-business service systems
*	Service modeling and design in various business contexts
*	Simulation-based techniques for service analysis and management
*	Design and implementation of service-driven information clouds
*	Efficiency issues in service chains and networks
*	Design and implementation of service-oriented process models

IMPORTANT DATES:
* Jan 3, 2011: AIS review system will begin accepting submissions
