Encouraging Business-Academic Interaction - Aug 5th 10:30am till 5:00pm, as
a part of AMCIS 2011 ( <http://amcis2011.aisnet.org/>
http://amcis2011.aisnet.org)

IS Community

AMCIS 2011 has decided to replace the CIO forum with a unique Business
Academic Exchange forum. Six senior IT executives from GM, Chrysler, CSC,
VW, Takata and Plante Moran are working with Professors Ritu Agarwal and
Benn Konsynski and AMCIS conference and program committee to support
interaction between academic colleagues and business/IT executives.

They have posed 14 questions and are looking to interact with IS research
community till the end of April (April 30th, 5pm EST). These interactions
can take place at the special web site created:
www.businessacademicexchange.com <http://www.businessacademicexchange.com/>

If you like your research to be considered for presentation and feedback,
please use the link on the web site to submit a 2-3 page summary with
appropriate references by April 30th. The executive committee will review
the summaries submitted and select six of these for presentation at the
AMCIS 2011 conference.

MIS Executive Quarterly has agreed to review these summaries and ask the
presenters to submit a full paper for a fast track review for potential
publication.

The selected presentations will be Module 2 of the BAE forum on Aug 5th.
Module 1 of the BAE forum will allow executives to discuss some additional
questions for future research and Module 3 will support some out of box
thinking in IT (using a unique Ignite format (see www.igniteautomotive.org
<http://www.igniteautomotive.org/> for the format). A special call will be
sent to IS community on this at a later time.

Thanks for your participation.
