IS: Crossroads of Technology, People, Organizations and Markets

Limassol, Cyprus - September 3-5, 2011

Call for Panel Discussions

MCIS 2011 accepts proposals for panel discussions on topics related to the
scope of the conference. Panel discussions are expected to offer an
informative, well-rounded address of a topic ideally leading to an engaging
dialogue between panelists and attendees. Topics include, but are not
limited to, emerging developments of Information Systems, the contribution
of Information Systems in a specific business sector of particular
importance to the Euro-Mediterranean region, or potentials of collaboration
between academia and business.

A typical panel discussion is expected to be structured as follows:

* The moderator outlines the topic and presents the panelist,

* Each panelist presents his/her views on the topic,

* The moderator co-ordinates discussion between the panelist and the
attendees, and

* The moderator presents the final conclusive remarks.

Panel discussions are expected to last 90 minutes; with the last 30 minutes,
at least, devoted to addressing questions coming from the floor.

Panel proposals must include information on:

*         Title of the panel discussion;

* A brief introduction (up to 200 words) to the topic of the panel
discussion;

* Name, affiliations and contact information for the moderator and
the suggested panelists; while

* A position statement (up to 100 words) for each panelist may be
also included, although not formally required.

Proposals for panel discussions must be submitted as any other
paper/proposal through the conference submission system (EasyChair). Upon
approval, the moderator and the panelists must be registered by the
"Authors' Registration Day" to be included in the program.
