3rd Call for Papers
15th International Symposium on Health Information Management Research
Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the ISHIMR 2011 Committee, we invite you to participate in
the 15th International Symposium for Health Information Management
Research (ISHIMR), which will take place in Zurich, Switzerland from
September 08-09, 2011.
ISHIMR 2011 will bring together researchers in the general area of
e-health, health information management and health informatics and will
provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of their research
activities. We therefore welcome paper (oral presentation) / abstract
(poster) submissions and delegates from the health and research community,
particularly those with teaching/research responsibilities in health
information management and health informatics, those with clinical
responsibilities, and those involved in provision of health information
and knowledge services.
We are also pleased to announce the OCLC (Online Computer Library Center)
Award to be offered to the author of the most highly rated paper and cover
the registration fees for ISHIMR 2011.

Paper Submission:
Authors are invited to submit their research contributions or practical
experience reports. All types of research methodologies are welcome. All
papers will be peer reviewed by at least two members of the programme
committee, which will be chaired by Peter Bath and Barbara Sen (Centre for
Health Information Management Research, University of Sheffield, UK).
The deadline for submission of papers and poster abstracts is: 30 April
2011.
The Symposium Proceedings, including all papers presented and abstracts
for posters, will be published in print and indexed. In addition, the best
papers will be published in a special issue of the Health Informatics
Journal (PubMed listed), and other selected papers will be published in a
new online Open Access journal.
