Subject: [AISWorld] ICIS 2011 is now open for submissions

The ICIS 2011 Conference Committee and the Association for Information Systems are pleased to invite scholars to participate in the Thirty-second annual International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS 2011) to be held in Shanghai, China from December 4, 2011 to December 7, 2011.

The ICIS 2011 Program Committee invites submissions across 21 tracks, including our Theme track. The theme of the conference, "East Meets West: Connectivity and Collaboration through Effective Information Systems," provides an opportunity for us to think more deeply about how information systems and information and communication technologies can contribute to the connectivity and collaboration of people, organizations, countries, and international institutions.

The venue of ICIS 2011, Shanghai, is a bustling metropolis where East meets West and Tradition meets Modernity. An engine of China's economy as well as the financial powerhouse of East Asia, Shanghai is constantly evolving toward achieving a "better city, better life", true to the slogan of the World Expo 2010 hosted in the city. Visitors will be greeted with picturesque historical buildings as well as towering modern skyscrapers. The experience of Chinese traditional culture, food, fashion, and opera, together with Western vogue and lifestyles, is also awaiting visitors of Shanghai.

Please note the following:

1. The conference website at http://icis2011.aisnet.org/ contains the track descriptions, deadlines, and submission guidelines.

2. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 11:59 pm Pacific time. This is a firm deadline and no extensions will be allowed.

3. All submissions must be made through the online submission system at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/icis2011.<http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/icis2011>

Authors need to create an account on the submission system (see tab in the upper right corner) before they can upload their papers. A submission can be made to only one Track and the posted submission guidelines, at http://icis2011.aisnet.org/submissions.htm must be followed.

4. Acceptance/rejection decisions will be made by Friday, July 30, 2011.

We look forward to seeing you in Shanghai for ICIS 2011!
