6th Annual Conference of the Midwest Association of Information Systems

Conference Theme: The Multi-Disciplinary Nature of IT Research & Practice

The sixth annual MWAIS conference has an exciting program that will 
feature:
 - Completed research and research in progress on topics in a variety of 
information systems domains such as pedagogy, healthcare, virtual teams, 
human-computer interaction, and much more
 - An industry panel will include CIOs from Conagra and Werner Enterprises 
as well as a program manager from Google
 - An academic panel will share strategies for conducting research and 
publishing in universities with a balanced approach to research and 
teaching. 
 - Dr. Moez Limayem, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs 
from the University of Arkansas is the academic keynote. His research 
interests include IT adoption and usage, CRM, Knowledge Management, and 
electronic commerce.   His work has been published in journals such as 
Management Science, Information Systems Research, Communications of the 
ACM, and IEEE Transactions. 
 - An industry keynote speaker by Bob Beck, Managing Director of IT at TD 
Ameritrade.  Prior to TD Ameritrade, Bob spent nearly twenty years as a 
senior executive in firms ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 500's in 
multiple industries. 
 - A social event at the Durham Museum, a former train station that now 
features exhibits including restored train cars and other artifacts 
related to the history of Omaha and the Midwest.

Omaha, Nebraska is in the heart of the Midwest and is home to many 
attractions, such as a world-class zoo, historical sites, and museums. 
There are many activities to discover ranging from nature trails to 
cultural activities to excellent restaurants.  The conference hotel is the 
Courtyard Marriott at Aksarben Village, which is across the street from 
the conference venues at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

for the $99/night room rate.  Reservations can be made either by calling
