Call for Papers
Enterprise systems have been used for decades now. Some consider them to be a de-facto standard for running business, others talk about them as a price of entry. Despite their wide-spread adoption, there is still not enough research done in how organizations actually decide whether they need an enterprise system, how they select enterprise systems and how they are satisfied with selected systems afterwards, what trade-offs they make in the selection and the implementation processes, what is the success rate of enterprise systems implementation projects in terms of time and budget, and what are the post-implementation issues.
Most of the journals and conferences focus on publishing papers, which report statistically significant results. But contribution to the existing literature can occur also when no statistically significant impact is observed. One possibility is when the null hypothesis is interesting as such. Another possibility is when null impact is found where previous research has found significant impact, thus the new finding indicates that the relationship does not hold at all or does not hold under certain conditions.
The Quantitative Research in Enterprise Systems Track at CONFENIS is a forum for presentation of research results and discussions related to the enterprise systems selection, implementation, post-implementation and use issues. We welcome studies of enterprise systems regardless whether they report or do not report any statistically significant results. We invite research in progress as well as established and running research.

Topics of interest but are not limited to:
- Decision making process on whether to procur an enterprise system
- Drivers for choosing proprietary and open source enterprise systems
- Selection of enterprise systems
- Satisfaction with selected enterprise systems
- Extent of customization (further development) of enterprise systems
- Big-bang vs. phased implementation
- Rapid implementation approaches
- Trade-offs made in the selection and the implementation processes
- The success rate of enterprise systems implementation projects in terms of time and budget
- Measuring the extent of enterprise systems implementations
- Integration issues and the significance of integration across functions
- Enterprise systems and human resources
- Learning and cultivation of process expertise
- Roles of stakeholder groups including specialist ERP and BI support groups
- The relationship between enterprise systems and efficiency and effectiveness
- Strategic issues
- Maintenance and other post-implementation issues
