Position Announcement

Loyola University Maryland's Sellinger School of Business and Management invites applicants for a tenure track position in the Information Systems and Operations Management department for the 2012-13 academic year. Candidates must possess a doctorate (or be ABD) in information systems or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Interest in and experience with cybersecurity, information systems, and networking management are highly desirable. An interest in teaching Operations Management is also beneficial.

Applicants must show evidence of excellence in teaching, a productive program of scholarly research, and commitment to service of the department, institution, and the information systems discipline. Teaching load is expected to be 3/2 for the first 2 years, moving to a 3/3 load thereafter. Enrollment in IS classes is capped at between 20 to 30 students. Research expectations include remaining academically qualified (AQ) by the Sellinger School definition of 2 peer reviewed journal articles plus points in a five year rolling window. Service includes, but is not limited to - academic advising, attending department meetings, and serving on university committees. Applicants must also show potential for engagement with and contribution to the Jesuit mission of the University.

The Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J., School of Business and Management at Loyola University Maryland is AACSB-accredited in business and accounting and offers undergraduate, graduate and Executive MBA programs. The ISOM department supports a vibrant IS major and a rapidly growing IS minor program within the business school. The university is ranked second among comprehensive universities in the Northern region by US News & World Report. The David D. Lattanze Center for Information Technology Value and the Loyola Center for Closely Held Firms provide effective connections with the region's business leaders.
