The Department of Operations and Information Systems in the College of
Management, University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position in the field of Information Systems. All areas
of Information Systems are welcomed. The rank is open. The starting date is
September 2012.

The University of Massachusetts Lowell is a nationally recognized
comprehensive university. The University is located in the historic
industrial city of Lowell, along the Merrimack River and about 25 miles
northwest of Boston.

The College and Department are building faculty capacity to deepen and
expand research productivity and build program offerings at all degree
levels. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in
(1) the development and implementation of new academic programs including
our newly approved Ph.D. program with specializations in Information
Systems, Finance, and Technology Management, (2) the growth of our
AACSB-approved MBA and undergraduate programs, and (3) the design and
development of a new Manning School of Business facility. The College of
Management has over 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty
members regularly earn teaching load reductions for the publication of high
quality research.

Minimum Qualifications
.	Completed doctorate (by the time of hiring) with concentration in
Information Systems or a related area from an AACSB-accredited business
school (or with teaching and research experience in an AACSB-accredited
school).
.	A record of ongoing scholarly publications or potential publications
in the related areas.
.	Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate degree levels.

Preferred Qualifications
.	Commitment to develop and pursue externally funded research.
.	Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write
English clearly.
.	Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and diverse
populations.
.	Ability to take leadership position in curriculum development.
.	Experience in using the Blackboard VISTA online course platform.
.	Industrial experience a plus.
