Dear IS Colleagues,

Based on the positive experience and exchanges that took place during the
Business Academic Exchange initiated at AMCIS 2011 in Detroit, we are using
the structure again with a forum centered on the transformation of the
health care industry, May 9-10 in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

As many of you are aware, the Affordable Care Act is the primary driver
behind many health care changes on the horizon for 2014 and beyond. The
forum, which focuses on these emerging issues from the perspective of the
physician's practice, will identify opportunities and challenges in four
themes: payment, practice, care delivery and IT support.

Through the new Health Academic Exchange participants can interact with
speakers on topics before the forum, regardless of whether you plan to
attend; share any related work you are doing for dissemination to forum
participants; and review of summary of specific challenges identified at the
forum for future research.

Presenters include those from health care service providers, academia,
government, physicians, insurance industry and IT professionals covering
topics such as trends in reimbursement, improved decision making, optimizing
patient experience, enhanced operational efficiency, IT innovations, and
more.

I invite you to learn more about the forum at
<http://www.oakland.edu/cibre> www.oakland.edu/cibre or you can go directly
to the Health Academic Exchange at http://forum.bae-i.org

I look forward to your participation - virtually or otherwise.
