Aalto University School of Business invites applications for
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in INFORMATION SYSTEMS SCIENCE

The position is located in the Department of Information and Service Economy, which consists of four disciplinary areas: Logistics, Information Systems Science, Quantitative Methods and Management Science. The department offers master's program in Information and Service Management and has a doctoral program in information systems with about 15 doctoral students enrolled. There are currently about 25 faculty members, of which 10 are in the Information Systems group. The Department appreciates an active approach to international research collaboration and business co-operation. Both are supported by our current faculty and Aalto Service Factory (an open collaboration platform for service research and education of the Aalto University). Requirements

The applicants should have a PhD (or be close to completing the degree) in Informations Systems or a closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate promise of excellence in research through international top-level publications (e.g. AIS basket of journals as an example) and the ambition to become an excellent teacher.

The selected candidate is expected to conduct and supervise research in Information Systems, to provide university level teaching, especially in data management, to follow and contribute to the advances in the field internationally, to participate in service to the Aalto University community and to take part in societal interaction.

The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research, teaching and academic leadership and activity in the scientific community.

Salary

Aalto University follows the salary system of Finnish universities, but applicants may also provide salary requests.
