Job Description

Applications are invited for a two year position as Postdoctoral Associate on a joint research project between the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.



The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to work on a current research project entitled "The Economic Impact of Advanced Technology and Automation on Oil and Gas Sector".  This project is in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  The research examines implications of fast-moving digital technologies in the broader economy from the perspective of both the corporation and its employees.



The Postdoctoral Associate will be based at Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi working with Dr. Yousef Alhammadi, but may be required to travel to MIT in Cambridge, MA from time to time to interact with Professor Erik Brynjolfsson at the MIT Center for Digital Business.



Requirements

Highly motivated researcher with extensive experience in (1) data analytics, statistics, and econometrics; or (2) literature review and survey research.  Must be able to work well with academia and with industry executives alike.  A Ph.D. degree in a related field is required and the applicant must be fluent in English language skills (verbal and written).
Compensation

The compensation package for this position is very competitive with annual salary up to US$ 72000. Additional benefits include: annual two-way airfare to home country, one-time moving allowance, free comprehensive international medical coverage and other components.
