The Department of Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis (ISQA) invites applicants for an assistant/associate professor position in Information Systems to start Fall 2015. The ISQA Department is part of the College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T), an interdisciplinary college focusing on meeting the needs of a vibrant metropolitan area. The Department invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate or all but the dissertation (ABD) in Information Systems (IS) or a related field from a nationally-recognized program. The Department is seeking strong candidates with research and teaching interests in IS. Contributions to service within the university, business and/or professional areas are expected.

The ISQA Department is responsible for a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems (accredited by ABET) and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems. The master's program offers dual degrees with Public Administration and the College of Business, as well as certificate programs in such areas as information assurance, health informatics and project management. The Department is also part of a college-wide Ph.D. in Information Technology. We are engaged in initiatives in service learning, international programs, and information technology for development, to name a few. E-learning and innovation in technology-supported pedagogy are of strategic importance. The ISQA Department was the 2011 recipient of the system-wide Departmental Teaching Award, recognizing teaching excellence as the top department across all four campuses of the university system.

The College's School of Interdisciplinary Informatics offers a new degree in IT Innovation, as well as degrees in Bioinformatics and Information Assurance. The School hosts the Nebraska University Center on Information Assurance (NUCIA), an NSA-designated Center for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education. The College is a partner in the university-wide Center for Collaboration Science, which promotes research and practice in collaboration by partnering across academia and industry. The College of IS&T and the College of Engineering and Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are partners in The Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology and Engineering, which offers further opportunity for interdisciplinary work and engagement with the community.
