Information and Process Management (IPM), Bentley University

Bentley University has multiple openings in the IS/IT area. We have two
faculty positions available in the Information and Process Management (IPM)
department and two additional positions in the Computer Information Systems
(CIS) department. Both departments play an important role in supporting
Bentley’s mission of blending business, technology and the liberal arts.

The Information and Process Management (IPM) department at Bentley
University invites applications to fill a tenure-track Assistant/ Associate
Professor position in Information and Process Management (IPM), beginning
in September 2015. Rank will be determined by qualifications and
experience.

The Information and Process Management (IPM) Department
The IPM department plays an important role in supporting the university
mission of blending business, technology and the liberal arts. The IPM
Department’s mission is to create new knowledge about the effective use and
management of information, businesses processes, and technology through the
multi-stakeholder socio-technical systems approach, and through focus on
value enhancement and hazard mitigation, and to educate creative, ethical,
and socially responsible organizational leaders who can apply that
knowledge in transformative and innovative ways. The IPM department offers
courses in the business core at both graduate and undergraduate levels, as
well as a variety of courses for undergraduate majors (Information Systems
Audit and Control and Business ICT), for the department’s minor (IPM), for
the MBA and MS programs, and for the PhD in Business. Courses include
business process management, strategic information technology, information
security, enterprise systems configuration, value chain, and business
intelligence. The department is a leading proponent of Bentley's
participation in the SAP University Alliance program. The department also
plays a prominent role in the University’s Business PhD program (including
teaching core courses and supervising students with interests in
information and process management).

Qualifications
We seek individuals who represent different backgrounds, interests and
talents and who can support and enhance the IPM department mission. A
qualified candidate will have a doctoral degree or, in exceptional cases,
will complete the degree by September 1, 2015, as well as demonstrate a
strong commitment to excellence in both scholarly research and teaching.
Candidates with several years of experience in a previous tenure-track
Assistant Professor position are especially encouraged to apply.
Willingness to contribute to curriculum development and implementation and
to departmental and university service are expected. A qualified candidate
should also have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, an
ability to thrive in a cross-cultural environment, and be able to interact
effectively with educators, business professionals, administrators, and
students. Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including day, evening,
weekend and online courses, is expected as well.
