Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have a major impact on economic and societal development. Though developing, emerging, and transitional economies play an increasingly important role in the global market, mainstream information systems research continues to focus on the relatively small group of countries with highly developed economies. The business, social, and legal environments of less developed economies often mandate that ICT implementation and management apply different practices and models from those conceived and tested in highly developed countries. The intention of this track is to encourage more research and publications on ICT focused on developing and emerging markets and communities. 

Thus, this track serves as a forum for research on the appropriate use and diffusion of information and communication technologies and associated management practices in the distinctive environments of developing, emerging, and transitional economies.

- Information Technology Issues in Latin America 
- Information Technology Issues in Transition Economies 
- Information Technology Issues in the Former Soviet Republics 
- Role and Significance of ICT in Economically Struggling Regions 
- Role and Significance of ICT in an Economic Downturn 
- Role and Significance of ICT in Micro Businesses 
- Information Technology Issues in China 
- Information Technology in Underserved Population Groups 
- ICT Collaboration for Development in Global Settings 
- Digital Collaboration as a Driver for Economic Growth 

Other titles and topics are welcome as long as they relate to the general topic area of information technology in global development. 

To submit a minitrack proposal, you must provide the following information: a) minitrack chair/co-chairs (names, email addresses, affiliations); b) minitrack title; c) short description of minitrack for the AMCIS 2015 website (up to 150 words); d) call for papers for your minitrack; and e) a short rationale as to why your minitrack should be included in the track to which you are submitting it. To submit a minitrack proposal, find the name and email of the co-chair of the track to which you want to submit your proposal. 

In addition to submitting your proposal to the track co-chairs, please cc your email with its attached submission to amcis2015.program at gmail.com. Those interested in submitting a minitrack need to identify a related track for their topic.
