The IT University invites applications for positions as assistant and associate professors.

The IT University is in the process of strengthening its research and teaching within Information Systems in the area of business and strategy. Applicants will be expected to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment and play a central role in developing and strengthening the research and teaching in one of the following subject areas:

  *   IT Strategy and Governance
  *   Contemporary Business Models and digital ecosystems
  *   Processes Innovation
  *   Enterprise-wide Digitization and Innovation
Applicants with backgrounds within Information Systems, Management and Organization, Business Administration, Political Science and Enterprise Engineering are welcomed.

The ideal candidate will have an established track record in Information Systems, business and strategy and should demonstrate competences in:

  *   Publication of research at a high international level in well-respected peer reviewed venues
  *   Developing and conducting teaching that is well received by in particular professional master students but also bachelor and master students
  *   A record of constructive contributions to the goals of the institutions in which the applicant has worked, for example through participation in work committees, faculty governance, etc.

 Applicants at the associate professor level will be expected to attract external research funding and be able and prepared to supervise PhD students.
All candidates for an associate professorship are expected to have the ability to read/speak a Scandinavian language (or the willingness to learn Danish).

General information
The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. The IT University has more than 70 full-time faculty members. Research and teaching in information technology span all academic activities which involve computers including computer science, information and media sciences, humanities and social sciences, cooperative work practices and technology studies, information systems, business impact and the commercialisation of IT.

Salary
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance's agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

  *   Documentation of academic degrees (copy of degree certificates etc.).
  *   Copies of max. 5 different publications you wish the evaluation committee to consider.
  *   A numbered list of publications. The enclosed publications should be marked with an asterisk (*).
  *   Documentation of pedagogical experience and teaching record within one or more of the teaching areas listed for the position.

The applicant will be assessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 25 April 2008.
