Alan Dennis and Merrill Warkentin have developed a video game-based approach to learning IS cybersecurity called DIGI. This can be used in Intro to IS and other IS courses.

Individual student licenses for the first cybersecurity module can be purchased at a cost of $9.95 each. This cybersecurity module will be released to students in January 2015, just in time for spring semester. To learn more visit, http://digi.wisdomtools.com<http://digi.wisdomtools.com/>

This release includes two role-playing video games, one focused on natural disaster and the other on incident response. Also included are digital case studies, homework/lab activities (a self-grading Excel spreadsheet), student resource materials, exams, PowerPoint Presentations, and teaching tips. Materials have been designed for online and/or classroom use. The package includes 1-2 weeks of materials, depending on how you structure your course.

If you wish to adopt cybersecurity modules now or have further questions, please contact us at:

To create DIGI, we’ve worked with WisdomTools, Inc., a leading developer of educational video games. This work is funded, in part, by the National Science Foundation.

Thanks
Alan and Merrill
