*****************************

The 2015 IEEE International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing and Applications
(SOCA 2015) provides an international forum for researchers from multiple disciplines to
exchange and share their experiences, ideas, and latest research results on all aspects of
service-oriented computing.
SOCA 2015 invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference,
related to the SOCA 2015 topics, and covering new emerging topics, in particular. Workshop
proposals should be submitted via e-mail to the dedicated address
soca15workshops at gmail.com<mailto:soca15workshops at gmail.com>
Prior contact with the workshop chairs (see the contacts below) is encouraged.
The organizer(s) of approved workshops will be responsible for advertising their workshop, for
the reviewing process for their workshop's papers, and to collect the camera-ready version of
the accepted paper by July 15th (firm deadline!)
***Organizers (including co-organizers) are expected to attend their entire workshop and to
provide a summary of the event, for presentation to SOCA organisers***

Workshops in SOCA have their papers in the same IEEE proceedings as the main conference.

Important Dates
Deadline for proposals: 15 March 2015
Decision on acceptance: 22 March 2015
Workshop paper due: 1 June 2015
Workshop paper notification: 10 July 2015
Workshop camera ready date (firm): 15 July, 2015
Workshops: one day / half a day (19-21 October 2015)

Detailed instructions for workshop proposers
The proposal (length up to 1000 words) should cover the following points:
1. Workshop title, length (half-a-day, 1 day).
2. Preferred date between Oct 19th and 21st (it is only indicative as we do not ensure to
schedule the workshop on this date).
3. Organisers (PC chairs, other organisers who will be present at the workshop or are
otherwise involved, including the person responsible for the web presence and
communications). Please include names, addresses, affiliations, and indicate who is the
main responsible person. The submission should include a one-paragraph biographical
sketch for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications and experience.
4. Purpose: How does the focus of the workshop differ from the main conference? What
are the main goals? List the workshop topics.
5. Organization of the workshop. Include any special requirement on infrastructure and
room layout.
6. List of PC members.
7. An estimate of number of papers to be accepted, and number of attendees. If applicable,
short information on previous editions of the workshop series (this should include
attendance information).
8. Short information on your plans for publicising your workshop and making it highly visible.
9. History of your workshop. Has it already hosted in the SOCA conference? How many
participants did you have on the average in the former editions?

Services provided by SOCA
1. Publication of IEEE proceedings, based on a pack of source files delivered by the PC
chairs, including a preface, list of authors, and other documentation.
2. Workshops will benefit from the local organizational infrastructure and receive
administrative support (registration, badges, refreshments, hotel booking, room rental,
beamers, screens, etc.).

As workshop papers will be included in the Conference proceedings, they need to respect the
IEEE two-columns format and they must not be longer than 5 pages (please indicate the IEEE
Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines in you call for paper - http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formatting).
Finally, to better organize the final program, workshop chairs should be informed during the
papers selection process. If necessary, the workshop may be cancelled if the number of
submissions is low.
