Dear List Administrator:

I am surprised that my posting made yesterday regarding JITCAR 16.3 is not listed below.
Also, 6 days back, I had posted JITCAR 16.2. Even that was not listed.

Also, whenever, I send a message to AISlistserv, I do not get a message. In that case, I have to ask my brother Dr. Prashant Palvia, also an MIS Professor, if he received. This is really cumbersome and not acceptable.

Dr. Shailendra Palvia
Professor of MIS, College of Management
Long Island University Post, Brookville, NY 11801.

On May 15-16, 2015, MIT will host the 5th Annual Interdisciplinary Symposium on Decision Neuroscience (ISDN) in Cambridge, MA.

ABOUT ISDN

This symposium is unique in that it brings together a range of constituencies involved in the use of neuroscience techniques to understand consumer decision making - world renowned academics, neuroscience research companies, marketing research executives and industry leaders. It offers two days to mingle and present the latest breakthroughs on using neuro and physiological measures to understand decision making behavior in business contexts and more broadly.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Deadline: Mar 2, 2015 (5pm EST)

The organizing committee will select papers for presentation at the symposium based on extended abstracts (one page, single spaced). The abstract should state the study's objectives, briefly describe the methods, summarize the results obtained and state the conclusions. The body of the abstract should be no longer than 2300 characters, including punctuation (not spaces). All abstracts should be emailed to isdn15 at temple.edu<mailto:isdn15 at temple.edu> by 5 pm EST on Mar 2, 2015. Decisions about the abstracts will be communicated to the authors by Mar 23, 2015. Selected papers would ideally not be published prior to the symposium.

Selections will be based on quality, relevance to decision neuroscience, and contribution to breadth of topics and interdisciplinary approaches. (Note that all abstracts do not necessarily require neuroscience data, but should have the potential to encourage discussions about a possible role for neuroscience.) We consider not just the individual merits of the papers, but how they complement other submissions from scholars in different fields to form a cohesive session. The organizers will invite authors of the abstracts not selected for talks to present their work as posters.

Limited travel awards will be available to offset expenses for students and junior faculty. More details about the conference, registration, travel awards and accommodations can be found at:
http://truthserum.mit.edu/ISDN2015/<http://foxschoolofbusiness.newsweaver.co.uk/b4lrczvd8w7vpt4vi6gdcq?email=true&a=6&p=48347865&t=28257813>.
If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email: isdn15 at temple.edu<mailto:isdn15 at temple.edu>.

[Apologies for cross-posting]

Final Call for Workshop Proposals: Critical Alternatives 2015

We hereby invite workshop proposals for Critical Alternatives 2015 (http://www.aarhus2015.org<http://www.aarhus2015.org/>).

The fifth decennial Aarhus conference, Critical Alternatives, aims to set new agendas for theory and practice in computing for quality of human life. Workshops at the conference provide an opportunity to discuss and build communities around specific issues and topics within the field of information technology. This is inherently an interdisciplinary conference, and we invite workshop organisers to consider how different perspectives can help establish constructive and critical discussions of workshop themes. Workshops are intended to foster discussion and exchange. Because focused interaction among participants is important, participants should have informed positions based on prior experience, as expressed in their position papers. Workshops should not be miniature paper presentation sessions, but focus on community building and communal knowledge creation.

Workshops are full-day events held at the start of the conference on 17 or 18 august 2015. Workshop proposals should aim to attract between 10 - 25 participants, and plan for around six working hours, with scheduled morning, lunch and afternoon breaks. There are two groups of people involved in a workshop: the organizers and the participants. Organizers are responsible for the workshop's topic, logistics, and final outcome. Participants are responsible for the content and discussion.

Workshop proposals should be sent directly to the Workshop Chairs, Peter Dalsgaard & Anna Vallg?rda, at workshops at aarhus2015.org<mailto:workshops at aarhus2015.org>.

Important Dates:

Submission deadline: 22 February 2015

Notification to workshop proposers: 9 march 2015

Publication-ready deadline: 1 June 2015

Deadline for first announcement and workshop web page launch: 1 april

Deadline for position papers: 15 may

Notification to workshop participants: 15 June (early registration 30 june)

Workshop Days: One-day sessions: 17 or 18 august 2015

Preparing and Submitting a Workshop Proposal:

Workshop proposals should be formatted using the ACM SIG Proceedings template (http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates) and should contain:

- an abstract describing the aims and objectives of the workshop. (Maximum of 300 words)

- a short description of the workshop discussing the benefits and significance of running a workshop on the proposed theme. The description should also include an overview of the - workshop (including duration and planned activities) and short biographies of the workshop organisers. (Maximum 2000 words)

- a call-for-participation draft for potential workshop participants

- a recruitment strategy detailing how the organisers plan to recruit and select participants. (Maximum 500 words)

Selection Process: Curated

Chairs: Peter Dalsgaard & Anna Vallg?rda (workshops at aarhus2015.org<mailto:workshops at aarhus2015.org>)

Archives: Workshop summaries will be published in the Proceedings vol 2 (published in print and online).

If a workshop is accepted, both Critical Alternatives 2015 and the workshop organizers will publicize the workshop to solicit potential participants to submit position papers. Workshop organizers are expected to put up a website for the workshop no later than April 1st and solicit participants through a Workshop Participants Call for Participation. Critical Alternatives 2015 will place a link to workshop websites on the Conference Workshops Page and will also distribute a general call for workshops on relevant mailing lists on April 2nd. Please note that the time between acceptance of a workshop and the required first announcement is short and plan accordingly..

Interested participants in the workshop submit a position paper to the organizers of the workshop. Position papers are statements of interest and/or expertise in the workshop topic, in any format or media as defined by the workshop organizers.

The workshop organizers will review position papers using their own criteria, and will decide on the final list of participants.

[cid:image003.jpg at 01D038BD.485E7A30]<http://www.mdx.ac/>

Middlesex University Dubai takes great pleasure in announcing the Third International Conference on Emerging Research Paradigms in Business and Social Sciences (ERPBSS-2015). For the nearly 200 delegates representing about 100 international academic institutions the First (2011) and Second (2013) International Conference on ERPBSS provided a forum for inter-disciplinary dialogue and forms of scholastic communication that transcended disciplinary and subject-specific boundaries.

In the Third International Conference ERPBSS 2015 we seek to explore "What's Next?". The world faces incredibly complex changes that shape our collective futures. We live in a time of increased mobility and connectedness, as forces of globalization and technological change are redefining the economic, social, political, and physical systems of the world. Inevitably, ideas and knowledge are transcending their traditional disciplinary and geographic boundaries. While this transformation offers increasing opportunities for innovation, it also contributes to increasingly complex global and local challenges that must be met with increasing attention to a more sustainable future.

The eight tracks of the ERPBSS 2015 Conference are:

1) Accounting, Finance and Economics
2) Contemporary Psychology
3) Education Training and Development
4) Information and Communication Technology
5) International Law and International Relations
6) Management and Marketing
7) Media, Journalism, and Communication
8) Tourism and Hospitality

Through these tracks the conference intention is to bring together perspectives from multiple disciplinary and epistemological perspectives. The design of the conference will provide wider opportunities for dialogue than conferences with narrower scopes. Additionally, this year we are launching the "Research Matters" visual paper session, which offers delegates an opportunity to engage more in-depth with presenters. We also invite delegates to submit proposals for Organised Symposium around a specific topic.

Track 4: Information and Communication Technology

The information and communication technology track of this conference aims to examine emerging paradigms and innovative practices, particularly those related to the adoption, use and implications of information and communication technology. We are seeking papers that engage theoretically with the subject area and/or signify pioneering applications and developments. The objective is to present work that is transformative and which embraces serious intellectual discussion.

Although we are open to any submission that is aligned with the goals of the conference and this track, we do encourage submissions particularly relating to the following themes:

* Web 2.0, Web 3.0, social media, and social computing

* Cloud Computing and Services in Global Settings

*         ICT and sustainability

* Educational technologies, and mobile and ubiquitous learning

* Virtualization and technologization of everyday life

*         Mobile applications and services

*         New developments in e-business, e-learning, e-government, e-tourism

*         New developments in m-business, m-learning, m-government, m-tourism

* Applications of decision support systems, expert systems and artificial intelligence

* Security technologies, cyber security, digital forensics and biometrics

March 13, 2015: Tutorial and workshops proposals due
=========================================================================
The ACM Hypertext conference focuses on all aspects of modern hypertext
research
including social media, semantic web, dynamic and computed
hypertext and
hypermedia as well as narrative systems and applications.
The 26th ACM
Conference on Hypertext and Social Media conference is pleased
to invite
proposals for tutorials to be held with the conference.

The goal of tutorial
is to present state-of-the-art theories, methodologies and
techniques from
experts in the field. Topics of interest should be related
to the main
conference tracks, in relation on novel aspects to be examined
in deep.
Interdisciplinary tutorials are also encouraged. We expect
proposals for
half-day tutorials.

The goals of the workshops are to provide a more informal setting
for
exchanging opinions, to share experiences, presenting ideas, foster
research
community and identify open problems and/or explore directions for
future
research. As such, they also offer a good opportunity for researchers
to
present their work and to obtain feedback from an interested community
in an
interactive atmosphere. Proposals are especially encouraged on emerging
topics,
somehow related to the main conference tracks (links and connection
between
people, open data and the semantic of things, user experience and
adaptive
linking), but are not limited to other (novel) topics which might
be of
interest for the hypertext community. Acceptance of workshop proposals
will be
based on the experience and background of the organizers in the topic,

and on
the relevance of the subject matter with regard to the topics addressed
in the
main conference. We welcome proposals for different types of workshops,
from
working groups on a specific topic to more traditional conference-like
workshops. However, we prefer interactive workshops that guarantee richer

active interactions among participants and provide significant room for

controversial and stimulating discussions. We preferentially would rather

proposals for half-day workshops. The need for a full-day workshop should
be
motivated by some particular reason. Potential proposers are invited to
discuss
their ideas with the workshop chair before working out a detailed
proposal.

====================== PROPOSAL FORMAT (TUTORIALS) =========================
The tutorial proposals ? not longer than 3 pages - have to be sent by
email to the workshop chairs, and must contain the following information:
- Title of the tutorial
- Tutorial presenters (affiliation, contact details, homepage, and prior
experiences with tutorial organization, if any).

Call for Papers

Third International Workshop on Security and Forensics in
Communication Systems (SFCS 2015), in conjunction with The Twentieth
IEEE Symposium on Computers and

Communications (ISCC 2015)
LARNACA, CYPRUS, July 6, 2015
https://sites.google.com/site/iscc15sfcs/

The ever increasing number of applications, remotely delivered
services, and networked systems have required the need for digital
security. Today, more and more

companies are experiencing security incidents and cybercrimes, by
which attackers could generate fraudulent financial transactions,
commit crimes, perform an

industrial espionage, and disrupt the business processes.

The sophistication and the bordeless nature of the intrusion
techniques used during a security incident, have triggered the need
for developing efficient incident

response plans. In this context, digital forensics has emerged as a
disciplined science allowing to note and collect evidences left on the
compromised system prior

to the incident occurrence, and carry out an analysis to: (a)
understand what occurred; (b) determine the set of exploited security
weaknesses; (c) trace attackers

to their source; (d) study the attackers trends and motives; and (e)
propose a set of optimal countermeasures to stop and mitigate the
effect of the attacks.
The third edition of the international workshop on Security and
Forensics in Communication Systems (SFCS 2015) will be held in
conjunction with the Twentieth IEEE

Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2015). It promotes
research and innovative ideas in the realm of security and digital
forensics, and provides a

prominent venue for researchers, scientists, engineers and
practitioners to share their thoughts, exchange ideas, and prospect
future and potential axes of

collaboration. Papers focusing on any aspect of the theory and
practice of security and digital forensic science are solicited. A
large spectrum of advanced topics

are covered, ranging from anti-forensics detection and recovery,
protocols security and forensic in wireless and mobile communication
systems, multimedia security

and forensic content processing, development of novel theories and
techniques of security and forensics analysis and validation, and
forensics in cloud computing and

social networks.

The workshop will act as a forum for discussing open issues, and
presenting original and unpublished research results and innovative
ideas in the realm of security

and digital forensics. We encourage contributions describing
innovative work in the realm of security and digital forensics. Topics
of interest include, but are not

limited to:

- Formal and theoretical techniques of communication security
- Legal and policy issues in security
- Availability, privacy, authentication, anonymity, trust, and access control
- Security aspects in e-services, e-government, e-learning, e-voting,
and m-commerce applications

SPONSORS:
--------
- Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE).
BPMDS Working Conference is officially linked on an ongoing basis to
the CAiSE conference series).
- International Federation for Information Processing Working Group
8.1 (IFIP WG 8.1).

ABOUT THE BPMDS CONFERENCE:
--------------------------
The topics addressed by the BPMDS series are focused on business
processes and their IT support. This is one of the keystones of
information systems theory beyond short-lived fashions. The continued
interest in this topic on behalf of the IS community is reflected by
the success of the past BPMDS events, and their promotion from a
workshop to a working conference.

The BPMDS series has produced fifteen events from 1998 to 2014. From
2011, BPMDS has become a two-day working conference attached to CAiSE
(Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering). The basic
principles of the BPMDS series:

1. BPMDS serves as a meeting place for researchers and practitioners
in the areas of business development, and business applications
(software) development
2. The aim of the event is mainly discussions, rather than presentations.
3. Each event has a theme that is mandatory for idea papers.
4. Each event's results are, usually, published in a special issue of
an international journal.

The goals, format, and history of BPMDS can be found on the web site:
http://www.bpmds.org/history

BACKGROUND AND AIMS:
-------------------

BPMDS solicits papers related to Business Process Modeling,
Development and Support (BPMDS) in general, using quality as a main
selection criterion. As a working conference, we would like to attract
papers describing mature research, but we still give place to
industrial reports and visionary idea papers. To encourage new and
emerging challenges and research directions in the area of business
process modeling, development and support, we have a unique focus
theme every year.

Papers submitted as idea papers will be required to be of relevance to
the focus theme, thus providing a mass of new ideas around a
relatively narrow but emerging research area.

Full research papers and experience reports are not required to be
directly connected to this theme (they still need to be explicitly
relevant to BPMDS though).

The focus theme for BPMDS'15 idea papers is

Enabling value creation via business process modeling, development and support

More than two decades after Hammer and Champy made the explicit link
between business processes and value, this relationship is still
unclear.

For the 16th edition of the BPMDS conference, we invite the interested
authors to engage, through their idea papers and the discussions
during the two days of BPMDS’2015 in Stockholm, in a deep
discussion with all participants about what is value, how it is
provided and how it is captured through business process modeling,
development and support.

We also welcome research papers that include ideas on how theoretical
results discussed can be used in practice, as well as experience
reports on using theories in practice.

TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION:
----------------------
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Value Creation and BPMDS
- Do projects of business process modeling or development help to
create value directly or indirectly?
- How can value created by BPMDS be assessed and captured?
- Does a BPS (business process support) system always lead to value
creation/capturing (directly or indirectly)?
- What are the relationships between various types of BPS systems (SoS
vs WFMS for instance) and types of value they help to create?
- Does social software facilitate the creation of a different kind of
value than a traditional workflow system?
- What are the barriers to value creation or/and capture from
BP-related projects?
- Are there specific conditions for value creation from BP-related projects?
- Cases where BP-related projects created value
- Cases where BP-projects created no values
- Interactions between Value Creation and BPMDS
- Impact of Value Creation / Co-Creation on Business Process
Life-Cycle: Design, Deployment, Operation and Evaluation.
- Representing requirements of Value Creation
- Value management in business processes
- User integration for value co-creation

Business Process Modeling
- Business process modeling languages, notations and methods
- Multi-perspectives on business process modeling
- Integrating Value into Business Process Modeling
- Representing Value Co-Creation
- Coherence among multi-perspective representations
- Theoretical foundations for analyzing, modeling business processes
- Verification and validation of business process models
- Variability and adaptability of business process models
- Dynamic configuration; modeling by reuse
- Granularity, development of reusable and context-aware components;
modeling for reuse

SUBMISSIONS:
-----------
Prospective conference participants are invited to submit a paper that
concerns business process modeling and development, and/or business
process support (development of software dedicated to business
processes). We solicit the papers (both research papers and experience
reports) that contain results worth of discussion. For full research
papers, it means that reported research should be in an advance stage
and a paper includes results and at least partial evaluation.

Thus three kinds of submissions are possible:

(1) Full research papers.

(2) Experience reports, which should follow guidelines in
http://www.bpmds.org/guidelines.

(3) Idea papers related to the focus theme, devoted to completely new
research positions or approaches, in order to face to a generic
situation that arises because of, for instance, new methods and tools
or new types of emerging challenges; the compliance to the focus theme
is mandatory for idea papers, which should describe precisely the
situation and demonstrate the shortcomings of current methods, tools,
ways of reasoning, meta-models, etc.

Papers of all submission types should be of up to 15 pages. Please
follow the LNCS format instructions at
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html for all of them.

Papers should be submitted in Adobe PDF format. The results described
must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. The papers
should be submitted through the conference management system available
at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bpmds2015 .

PUBLICATIONS:
------------
The conference proceedings will be published in a Springer LNBIP
volume (joint with EMMSAD), "Enterprise, Business-Process and
Information Systems Modeling”, as the five previous years (LNBIP
29, LNBIP 50, LNBIP 81, LNBIP 113, LNBIP 147 LNBIP 175). Contributing
authors may find all relevant information at
http://www.springer.com/series/7911 .

Call for Papers

Third International Workshop on Security and Forensics in
Communication Systems (SFCS 2015), in conjunction with The Twentieth
IEEE Symposium on Computers and

Communications (ISCC 2015)
LARNACA, CYPRUS, July 6, 2015
https://sites.google.com/site/iscc15sfcs/

The ever increasing number of applications, remotely delivered
services, and networked systems have required the need for digital
security. Today, more and more

companies are experiencing security incidents and cybercrimes, by
which attackers could generate fraudulent financial transactions,
commit crimes, perform an

industrial espionage, and disrupt the business processes.

The sophistication and the bordeless nature of the intrusion
techniques used during a security incident, have triggered the need
for developing efficient incident

response plans. In this context, digital forensics has emerged as a
disciplined science allowing to note and collect evidences left on the
compromised system prior

to the incident occurrence, and carry out an analysis to: (a)
understand what occurred; (b) determine the set of exploited security
weaknesses; (c) trace attackers

to their source; (d) study the attackers trends and motives; and (e)
propose a set of optimal countermeasures to stop and mitigate the
effect of the attacks.
The third edition of the international workshop on Security and
Forensics in Communication Systems (SFCS 2015) will be held in
conjunction with the Twentieth IEEE

Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2015). It promotes
research and innovative ideas in the realm of security and digital
forensics, and provides a

prominent venue for researchers, scientists, engineers and
practitioners to share their thoughts, exchange ideas, and prospect
future and potential axes of

collaboration. Papers focusing on any aspect of the theory and
practice of security and digital forensic science are solicited. A
large spectrum of advanced topics

are covered, ranging from anti-forensics detection and recovery,
protocols security and forensic in wireless and mobile communication
systems, multimedia security

and forensic content processing, development of novel theories and
techniques of security and forensics analysis and validation, and
forensics in cloud computing and

social networks.

The workshop will act as a forum for discussing open issues, and
presenting original and unpublished research results and innovative
ideas in the realm of security

and digital forensics. We encourage contributions describing
innovative work in the realm of security and digital forensics. Topics
of interest include, but are not

limited to:

- Formal and theoretical techniques of communication security
- Legal and policy issues in security
- Availability, privacy, authentication, anonymity, trust, and access control
- Security aspects in e-services, e-government, e-learning, e-voting,
and m-commerce applications
- Social networks security
- Incident response techniques in network and communication systems
- Mobile security
- Risk analysis and management in communication systems
- Infrastructure protection, and Virtual Private Networks security
- Storage systems protection and forensics

- Lightweight forensic techniques
- Large-scale investigations in large networks and Big Data
- Innovative forensic services
- Data visualization in forensic analysis

- Intrusion Detection, incident response, and evidence handling
- Vulnerability analysis and assessment, and analysis of malware
- Techniques for tracking and trace-back of attacks in systems and networks
- Data hiding, extraction, and recovery technique
- Security and Forensics in distributed, virtual, and cloud environment
- Security and forensics in digital healthcare systems and applications
- Forensic and security techniques in wireless and mobile communication systems
- Development of investigation processes and security procedures
- Security and forensic architectures

Submissions must be written in English describing original work, and
should be no more than 8 pages in the IEEE double column proceedings
format including tables,

figures and references. Note that accepted papers up to 6 pages will
be published with no additional charge. Exceeding pages will be
charged an additional fee.

Extended versions of selected best papers will be recommended for
publication in a Special Issue of a prestigious International Journal.

Submitted papers must not substantially overlap papers that have been
published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal,
conference or workshop.

Simultaneous submission of the same work is not allowed. Authors of

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone had a collection of well written business cases. This is for a module (i.e., not an entire course) in effective business case writing. What I am mainly looking for are business cases (preferably IT, but not necessarily) that are clear and convincing. I am specifically looking for:

- Cases that cut through the technical jargon to explain why a proposal is valid in business terms.
- A variety of cases where the rhetoric isn't necessarily financial. For example, I have a couple of cases from a water management agency which talks about savings of water. Other examples might be cases from hospitals which talk about saving lives or getting faster turnaround in wards. I also want cases with financial rhetoric.
- Preferably where a careful reader will remain convinced. For example, IT development cases should include cost of maintenance, opportunity cost of training and other "hidden" costs when calculating ROI.
- Ideally (but not necessarily) cases with both rational and non-rational appeal. So, while ROI is stated, morale boosting and other intangibles are also cited as benefits.

I've tried the ones available on the Internet and they are pretty bad. For example, in one supposedly exemplar business case, the executive summary had "We recommend option 3" when option 3 isn't described in the summary, only in the text.

Sorry. Just as a followup. By business case, I mean a proposal written to sell a project to upper management. I don't mean a case study as per Harvard or Ivey.

My students have to write one, and I want exemplars to illustrate the ideas to them.

AMCIS 2015 CFP: Mini-Track: Contemporary Issues in Agile Development

Track: Systems Analysis and Design

Peurto Rico, August 13-15, 2015

Agile manifesto, which introduced agile methodologies, is now more than a
decade old. During this period, these methodologies have seen increased
acceptance among software developers. This brings to the fore a number of
research issues?adoption and/or adaptation of agile methods, agile project
management, social aspects of agile development, distributed agile
development, scalability of agile methodologies, and enterprise agility, to
name but a few. The incorporation of myriad practices, particularly those
advocated by lean principles, has only rendered the term "agility" more
nebulous. Prospective research topics include lean and agile practices and
their synergies/differences, and the role of agile/lean principles in
facilitating flexible enterprise architectures. Considering the rapid growth
of agile development practices, the Project Management Institute (PMI)
recently introduced a new certification program focused on agile project
management. This is expected to further consolidate and spread the use of
agile development. Some illustrative project management aspects of agile
development in need of research attention include cost and schedule
estimation/planning, resource allocation, risk management, and change
control management.

This mini-track will provide a forum for researchers to address fundamental
issues regarding agile development practices as well as contemporary topics
raised by its widespread acceptance and use.

CFP: AMCIS 2015 Mini-Track: Social Media Analytics (Track: Social Computing)

As social media becomes a standard communication and collaboration platform, large amounts of data are generated and publicly available on various platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, blogs, wikis and more. As with other forms of big data a key question to address is how this data can be used to learn about individual and social behaviors, how predictions can be made on various indicators based on social media data, and how can we apply these data to impact platform design and organizational performance. For this mini track on social media analytics we are interested in high quality empirical and conceptual work that addresses these and other related questions.

SUGGESTED TOPICS
- Sources of data in social media
- Data extraction approaches for social media data
- Methods and applications of text analytics
- Organizational impact of social media analytics
- Applications of social media analytics

** SCOPE
------------------------------------------------------------
Stimulating innovation through the introduction of novel IT solutions is by default a multidisciplinary field, certainly in pervasive healthcare. Supporting and solving healthcare problems need holistically combined methods and insights. Aligning a complex ecosystem of stakeholders with different goals, backgrounds and perspectives, such as care delivery (medicine, home care), IT (communication, hardware, software, media), organizational, economic, legal and user perspectives, is one of the main hurdles to be tackled.

Few focus has been paid to the introduction of efficient and effective processes behind this innovation in order to integrate the solution in this complex care and cure ecosystem. Achieving a truly combined approach on research, product development, process design, management, improvement and optimization, and measurement system through key performance indicators (KPIs) when introducing pervasive healthcare systems still proves to be challenging.

This workshop aims to bring together a diverse public on this topic to exchange knowledge and showcase the benefits of process thinking in care & cure environment to discuss case studies, and to develop guidelines on stimulating interdisciplinary cooperation and best practices how to avoid pitfalls.

Final Call for Papers

AMCIS 2015, Puerto Rico, August 13-15, 2015, http://amcis2015.aisnet.org

Minitrack:
??
Business Models for the Digital Economy

This minitrack serves as a forum for the presentation and discussion of new
and innovative approaches of business models beyond e-commerce for coping
with the challenges of the digital economy. We consider an economy based on
the digitization of information and the respective information and
communication infrastructure as digital economy. This new type of economy
implies not only technological, but also and especially structural and
process-related challenges and potential. The way in which economic value
is created will change fundamentally in the digital economy and thus
transform the structure of economies and societies.

This evolution will radically alter processes and structures within and
between industries leading to the digital economy. All of these
developments characterize the emerging digital economy and cause new
challenges businesses have to cope with. This clearly will have a major
impact on how business models have to be designed. Therefore this minitrack
addresses all topics concerned with the analysis, design, development,
implementation, and control of future business models for the creation of
economic value in the digital economy from a communication, organizational,
business, economic, and managerial perspective applying a theoretical,
conceptual, or practical approach.

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Syracuse University's School of Information Studies (The iSchool, see http://ischool.syr.edu) is soliciting applications from scholars to join its renowned and interdisciplinary faculty. This position is open rank, and we specifically encourage graduating doctoral students, senior assistant professors, and recently tenured faculty to apply. The successful candidate will join our "Faculty of One" in a highly collegial environment that stresses collaboration amongst our school's faculty and with other members of the university community.

Located at the center of picturesque Syracuse University, the iSchool is at the cutting edge of scholarship and instruction. CALL FOR PAPERS
2015 Americas Conference on Information Systems
El Conquistador Resort, Puerto Rico, August 13-15, 2015
Track: Social Computing
Mini-track: Social Media within the Organization
================================================================

DESCRIPTION:

Social media technologies such as wikis, forums, blogs, podcasts and online social networks have changed the communication landscape into one based on user-generated content. Because it is changing the way that people create, store and share information, social media is a topic of great importance to future IS research.

Currently, social media research has focused on activity on public sites such as Twitter and Facebook. However, some firms have tried to capitalize on the power of social media by incorporating social media technologies into their internal networks. Because social media has the potential to improve work routines and to even change culture within the organization, industry is interested in the operational and strategic issues involved in its implementation.

The advantages afforded by social media within the organization will not be realized without overcoming challenges. Organizations must evaluate their existing business practices and consider significant changes needed to implement social media successfully. The field of IS research must build a rich understanding of both the opportunities and the challenges presented by social media within the organization. We ask for empirical, theoretical, and conceptual works of any and all methodological approaches.

SUGGESTED TOPICS:

Topics relevant for this mini-track include, but are not limited to:
- Organizational identification
- Organizational citizenship behavior
- Knowledge management
- Workflow in intranet-based social media
- Leader emergence
- Multi-national project management

CALL FOR PAPERS

IJCAI 2015 Workshop in INTELLIGENT PERSONALIZATION (IP'2015)

Joint Workshop on Constraints and Preferences for Configuration and
Recommendation (CPCR) /
Intelligent Techniques for Web Personalization (ITWP)

Held in conjunction with IJCAI 2015, 25-27 July 2015, Buenos Aires,

Submission Deadline: April 27, 2015
======================================================================

WORKSHOP GOALS
===================
Finding the information or product that matches your needs and preferences
on the Web can be challenging. Modern search engines can help in many
situations, but they are based on one-shot query interactions and limited
with respect to their personalization capabilities. Recommender Systems (RS)
have proved to be helpful tools for various information seeking and
filtering tasks and are nowadays ubiquitous on the Web. The most prominent
classes of such systems are based on the detection of preference patterns in
larger user communities (collaborative filtering) or on the automatic
construction of content-based preference profiles for individual users
(content-based filtering).

For some application domains in e-commerce, relying on such pattern or model
learning approaches alone can be insufficient because explicit and detailed
short term interest or preference profiles are required to determine the
most suitable product. This is for example the case when (a) the products
themselves are configurable and can be tailored to the specific needs of a
user or (b) the selection of the right product is based on user-specified
explicit constraints, e.g., when purchasing a digital camera or smartphone.
Going beyond collaborative and content-based techniques, such
knowledge-based approaches therefore often require more complex user
interfaces which support interactive preference elicitation or explanations
as well as explicitly encoded domain knowledge.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners
working on topics related to the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques
in the areas of recommendation systems, electronic commerce, personalized
web tools, and interactive configurator systems. We are specifically
interested in contributions which aim to combine explicit preference and
constraint models with machine learning techniques.

TOPICS OF INTEREST
===================
We invite original contributions in a variety of areas related to
Recommendation, Configuration and Web Personalization:

* Preference Elicitation and User Modeling: Interactive Elicitation,
Explicit and Implicit Feedback, Social/Semantic Web Mining for
Personalization, Preference Learning, Collaborative and Content-based
Filtering

* User Interaction: Conversational Approaches, Explanations, Constraint
Relaxation, Context-Aware Approaches, Personalized Information Filtering

* Knowledge Representation and Reasoning: Constraint Programming, Preference
Handling, Machine Learning, Satisfiability Testing, Logic-based Approaches,
