11th International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology

Conference Topics and Theme

The theme for DESRIST 2016 is Tackling Society's Grand Challenges with Design Science. The theme will serve to draw attention to the role design science research in IS can play in addressing important issues facing society, including (but not limited to) healthcare, accessibility, support for the elderly, the natural environment, social good, sustainability, poverty alleviation, not-for-profit organizations, education, and infrastructure. The conference will, of course, be open to the full range of design science contributions, such as improving efficiency and effectiveness in business disciplines, decision-making, design theory, and design science research methods. To support both the conference theme and general DSR concerns, for the first time for this conference, we plan to have a "Best Theme Paper" award in addition to an overall "Best Paper" award.
The conference committee invites submissions for full research papers, research-in-progress papers, posters, panels, and prototypes on the topics above or any other topic relevant to Design Science. Information on submissions will be available at the above website.
