SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY EDWARDSVILLE

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for several tenure-eligible positions in Computer Management and Information Systems (CMIS) beginning in August 2017 (subject to budgetary approval). Due to retirements at the professor rank, we have open positions at the assistant and associate professor ranks and are seeking candidates with a range of academic experience. A Ph.D. in information systems or a closely related field is required, but ABDs nearing completion will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited institution. One position is intended for an individual with 3 or more years of university academic experience and who possesses an established research and teaching record. Preference may be given to candidates with significant industry experience in information systems and/or possessing specialized skills in the areas of Business Analytics, Information Security, Telecommunications/Networks, or Application Development. A commitment to top-quality research, teaching and service is required.

The Department of CMIS provides instruction within the School of Business in the Bachelor of Science in CMIS program, Master of Science in CMIS (MS CMIS), Business Analytics and Project Management Specializations in the MS CMIS, MIS major in Business Administration (BS/BA) program, and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The curriculum includes a full range of information systems courses and is supported by state-of-the-art technology. The School of Business is fully accredited by AACSB International in both business and accounting.

SIUE's park-like campus is located just 20 miles from downtown St. Louis and covers 2,660 acres of rolling hills, woods, and small lakes. The large number of corporate headquarters located in St. Louis enables faculty members to work closely with practitioners on joint ventures.

Closing date for application: 9/16/16 or until positions are filled. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. Faculty will be interviewing applicants at the Americas Conference for Information Systems 2016 (August 11-13) in San Diego, CA. Applications from women and minorities are especially encouraged.
