[AISWorld] Are Data Centers worthy to be researched in MIS area?

Thanks for references. However, while this research is highly appreciated
it does not address the core artifact or setting of data centers. It seems
that we are doing MIS research on top iceberg topics and we have forgotten
the bottom and hidden levels that holds of MIS issues and concerns. Data
centers needs theories for its planning, design, implementation,
operation, re-allocation and improvement. Topics like green data centers,
DevOps and ITSM, own data centers vs cloud rented services, and a plenty
of engineering and managerial and economic concerns emerge from data
centers.
I invite to senior researchers to address these topics and help to
legitimize the data center concept as one of the current
artifacts/settings where all MIS concerns emerge at present. Business
continuity is a critical aspect but just one of the myriad of issues to be
researched. So, when MISQ, ISR, JMIS and other top journal publish papers
on such topics, data center will be visible for our MIS research
community. If not, they will be under valued. This is part of the research
status quo system in any discipline.
