The Institute of Computer Science of University of Tartu (Estonia) 
invites applications from outstanding early-career academics for a 
full-time permanent position of Lecturer in Information Systems.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree and a promising 
research track record in the field of information systems. Other 
requirements include teaching experience and successful supervision of 
Masters and/or doctoral students. The working language for this position 
is English.

In addition to teaching (one course per semester) and supervising 
students, the successful candidate will be an active member of the 
software engineering and information systems research group at the 
Institute of Computer Science - http://sep.cs.ut.ee/. The group conducts 
leading-edge research in the fields of business process management, 
process mining and software process analytics. In 2016, the group earned 
best or distinguished paper awards at three major information systems 
engineering conferences: CAiSE, BPM and ER, in addition to four other 
awards in the past five years.

University of Tartu is the leading higher education and research centre 
in Estonia, with more than 16000 students and 1800 academic staff. It is 
also the highest ranked university in the Baltic States according to 
both the Times Higher Education and the QS World University rankings. 
University of Tartu's Institute of Computer Science hosts 750 Bachelors 
and Masters students and 60 doctoral students.

The institute has a strong international orientation: over 40% of 
graduate students and a quarter of academic and research staff members 
are international. Graduate teaching in the institute is in English.

The appointment will be permanent with an initial salary of 2500 euros 
per month. Estonia applies a flat income tax of 20% on salaries and 
provides public health insurance for employees. Other benefits include 
56 days of annual leave and a sabbatical semester per 5-years period of 
appointment. Relocation support will be provided if applicable.
