It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that Neil Doherty, Professor of Information Management, School of Business and Economics (SBE) Loughborough University passed away in his sleep on Monday 23rd January. Colleagues, students and friends from SBE and the wider University are deeply shocked and saddened. Neil had worked in the School for more than 25 years and was a great colleague and a friend to many. Neil was, until recently, a Senior Editor for Information Technology and People and remained associated with the journal as a member of the editorial advisory body. He was also a Senior Editor for Information Systems Journal. Neil was a dear friend, mentor and inspiration to so many of us. He will be sorely missed by the whole information systems community.

Books of Remembrance for Professor Doherty are open in the Chapel J208, 1st floor, EHB and in the School of Business and Economics room BE.1.01 in Sir Richard Morris building.

If you would like to record messages and memories for Neil's family in an email please send them to Melinda Wilson, Chaplains Administrator, Centre for Faith and Spirituality m.wilson at lboro.ac.uk<mailto:m.wilson at lboro.ac.uk>.

Our thoughts are with his wife Louise and the rest of the family.
