The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) invites
applications for a position at the rank of Teaching Assistant or Teaching
Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Technology
Management (ISTM) starting as early as the Fall of 2017. This position also
carries the responsibility of serving as Faculty Director of the Master of
Science in Information Systems Technology (MSIST) program which is
headquartered in ISTM.

The position carries an 18-credit teaching responsibility annually,
involving some in-class graduate courses, some online graduate courses and
some undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will oversee the MSIST
program, reporting administratively to the ISTM Department Chair and
partnering with staff of the SB Graduate Programs Office. The MSIST Faculty
Director position also involves responsibility for promoting the MSIST
program through calling on local firms and agencies involved in IS. The
successful candidate will not be expected to be productive as a scholar.

The ISTM Department is committed to providing rigorous and up-to-date
education in its dual fields of Information Systems and Technology
Management. In addition to its teaching program, ISTM faculty pursue a
growing body of important research in Information Systems and Technology
Management. Several outstanding new faculty members have joined the
department in recent years and contribute to teaching in the MSIST and
other graduate programs as well as publishing relevant research in top
journals.

The George Washington University is situated in the heart of Washington,
DC, just blocks from the White House.  The School of Business enrolls about
1,500 undergraduate and 1,600 graduate students and has a regular full-time
faculty numbering approximately 125.  The ISTM Department offers courses at
both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

The candidate should be experienced in teaching IS technical topics,
including some of the following areas: Relational Databases,
Telecomm/Enterprise Networks, Internet Computing, IS Security, Enterprise
Web and Database Applications, Human Computer Interaction, Enterprise
Architecture, Data Warehousing and Online Analytics, etc.

Applicants for this position must have completed all requirements for the
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in business, computer science or
engineering, or a closely related field by the date of appointment.
Applicants must have record of teaching excellence in Information Systems,
Computer Science or Engineering or related fields as evidenced by letters
of reference, teaching evaluations or assessments.
