The Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computational Methods
in Heritage Science (IJCMHS) invites authors to submit manuscripts for
consideration in this scholarly journal. The following describes the
mission, coverage and guidelines for submission to IJAGR.

*Mission *
The International Journal of Computational Methods in Heritage Science
(IJCMHS) publishes significant works in areas related to the application of
informatics, engineering and sciences in support of cultural heritage,
focusing on technological innovation and science intervention towards an
integrated computational approach. This represents a broad field of
research with significant work worldwide, covering numerous aspects of
heritage science: it starts with the excavation (digital documentation, 3D
scanning, GIS, etc.), moves on to the science labs (archaeometry and
material analysis, etc.) and to computational approaches (databases,
modeling, representations, open-data, visualization, GIS, etc.) and ends by
delivering to the academia (cataloguing, organization, scientific tools for
study, etc.), the private sector/industry (innovative applications for
tourism, 3D printing, etc.) or the general public (innovations in
applications for culture dissemination, education and tourism).

*Coverage *
Topics to be discussed in this journal include (but are not limited to) the
following:
• Digital documentation, optical 3D documentation
• Digital reconstruction and visualization of cultural heritage data
• Innovative virtual exhibitions and museums
• Innovative Virtual Reality, Augmented & Mixed Reality applications
• Gamification, game-based learning and serious games for education using
culture
• Narrative approaches and storytelling
• NLP techniques and knowledge modeling
• Language and lexical cultural heritage resources
• Innovative web, mobile, social networking and tourism applications
• Scientific tools for comparative study and academic training
• Digital archives, metadata, international standards and interoperability
• Big-data, open-data approaches in cultural heritage and intellectual
property rights

*Submission *
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original
empirical research articles 3,000-5,000 words in length. Interested authors
must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions at
http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/
prior to submission. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a
double-blind review basis by no fewer than 3 members of the journal’s
Editorial Review Board and 1 Associate Editor. Final decision regarding
acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from
the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
All manuscripts must be submitted through the E-Editorial Discovery online
submission manager:
